Promoted from the Ricochet Member Feed by Editors Created with Sketch. How Did Comedy Central Miss Ricochet’s Guy?

It couldn’t possibly be because of his flamboyant, out-of-the-closet conservatism, could it? Fellow Ricochetti, I submit the following purely for your enjoyment: one conservative’s takes on marriage, airport security and the superiority of Las Vegas over San Francisco. I’ll be here all week.

You are hilarious and I’d love it if you’d try out any new material here among the Ricos.

I have a fondness for comedians; my brother was the only White Male to write for the comedy sketch series In Living Color. :)

Here is Deeble’s website. And here is his excellent blog.

When are there going to be DVDs for sale? Maybe you could even talk the Ricochet admins into selling a stand-up recording on their site. It would need high-quality audio, though.

Love the writing and the performance. Your delivery reminds me of Carson, and I’m not talking Ben.

Loved the Cheney/Burning Man juxtaposition. Grover Norquist actually went to Burning Man last year. He’s also at the Reagan Library coming up on April 20. Probably the only guy who ever played those two venues within twelve months.

Next time you do Hermosa Beach (or one of the conservative cruises) please let us all know!

That was really great. I could tell that the audience was very appreciative. Great timing on that microphone gag. Made me laugh out loud, and that’s saying something.

    Excellent stuff, David.

Comedy Central wouldn’t dare put you on The Daily Show, of course. Their entire fan base would be thrown into terminal brain-lock.

(As if they weren’t there already, that is.)

Is it just me or does the new Headline by the Overlords created when They Promoted this piece make me think it is about a beauty contest?

Hmmm. Now that you mention it.

But it’s not, technically, wrong. It just looks weird.

Yes, it is not technically wrong. But there’s still something wrong about it. Miss Ricochet’s Guy!!

If it were a beauty contest, David Deeble would surely win with that beautiful hair and all. Six ounces of gel! I can’t sleep either because his hair is so perfect…

J Flei:Duuuuuuuuude, awesome. I KNEW there were funny conservative comics out there!! We need you. Conservatives need to make people laugh like this, I think it’s very important for our brand and for our, what was thing that’s supposed to be so important, oh yeah – our happiness!

What you are doing is one of the most important things in the conservative movement. I really do wish you get a show or a bigger outlet.

Thanks, J Flei. You’ve got me all pumped up!

I’m going for that five-foot-seven look.

You should ask JPod if he can get you a gig at Chuckles.

Wish I still knew him but I actually had several dates with Bill Scheft back in the old days when he was doing stand-up at Catch a Rising Star.

Thanks for taking a moment to comment, Jim, and I’m glad you enjoyed it. Here’s a 27-second clip of my take on California’s campaign to ban plastic grocery bags. Consider the juggling a bonus.

Mark – Great. There’s actually two Mark Wilsons in the magic world alone, so I wasn’t sure.
