Democrats Continue to Step on Rakes

I take you to Georgia — the Peach State and ancestral homeland of Nipsey Russell — for a video of Republican Senate candidate David Perdue that will shock you to your very core:

That’s right: The so-called “Mr. Perdue” complied with a young woman’s request to sign her torso at a campaign event. But thanks to a plucky Democratic operative and Divine Providence Itself, video was captured of this disgusting breach in Victorian etiquette.

David Brock’s American Bridge immediately sent this steamy vid to reporters hither and yon; Buzzfeed, the paragon of journalistic integrity and cat memes, dutifully posted the evidence. Never has the party of Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton been so scandalized by the predatory advances of a San Diego Mayor Georgian legislative nominee.

Within an hour, BuzzFeed had to sheepishly add an update:

“David was asked to sign an individual’s diabetic pump to help raise awareness for juvenile diabetes,” said Megan Whittemore, a Perdue spokesperson. “This was a Georgia family who shared their personal story of their struggle with ObamaCare and the rising health care costs associated with their daughter’s treatment which is not being covered by their insurance.”

The young woman’s family also had a statement:

“This video is extremely disrespectful to our family and our young daughter’s privacy. We were shocked when we discovered this being taken out of context because our daughter requested to have her diabetic pump signed. This is something she has done with multiple other prominent figures and will continue to do in raising awareness for juvenile diabetes. We were surrounded by friends and family who understood our daughter’s desire for privacy. We hope that the media and others will respect our wishes and make this go away for our daughter and our family.”

To their credit, Buzzfeed posted a video from another angle that showed the diabetic pump. Never mind.

American Bridge pretended they didn’t send out the original video, a fact countered by reporters on Twitter.

Then, American Bridge President and former Democratic Party Comm Director Brad Woodhouse lost it:

I’m thinking you’re the idiot, Brad.

Meanwhile, inevitable and not-at-all-offputting President-in-Waiting Hillary Clinton set the record straight on economics: “Don’t let anybody tell you that it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs.”

I’ve compiled a video of Democrats outreach efforts for the month of October:

Meanwhile in South Carolina Democrat candidate for Governor, Vincent “2 Time Loser” Sheheen grins after using a naughty word in reference to Governor Haley .  (Skip the video at bottom of story to the 1:00 mark.)

Republican candidates from forest preserve commissioner to President need to understand that they are in a fists, boots, and all street fight. No tactic is too scurrilous, too sleazy, too reprehensible for the Left (the Democratic Party has been hijacked by the hard Left, may as well be real here).

Good for David Perdue being on to this sufficiently to have his own tracker, and a tracker tracker making his own video record of what goes on.

When I saw the video title, I thought to myself, what could be bad about a candidate ‘speaking’ to a deaf girl? Seriously. I watched his hands to see what he was going to say.

It was very surreal, and I finally released the “deaf signing” frame of mind when the girl on the video started talking, and thought, oh he writing on her pants? And that’s bad because…?

Fall is the season for rakes!

All those people where standing in front of him, I couldn’t ‘hear’ what he was signing. I loved the a-ha moment when I figured it out.

Just like the Carol Costello story from yesterday, when I read stuff like this my first reaction is anger and disgust. We need to fight back! Get the truth out there. Then after a few minutes I realize it’s probably hopeless, and my ultimate reaction is that I want to unplug from the political world completely. These people are poisonous, and life is too short. Or maybe I’ve just had too much Seagrams on a Friday night.

Even if he had been signing her torso instead of an insulin pump, I’m not sure what the scandal would be.  It’s not like he told he to whip out one of her breasts for him to sign.
