C-SPAN’s Conversation with Tim Groseclose
Earlier this year, the folks from C-SPAN’s Book TV sat down with Ricochet’s own Tim Groseclose to discuss his book Left Turn: How Liberal Media Bias Distorts the American Mind, preview his subsequent volume (since released), Cheating: An Insider’s Report on the Use of Race in Admissions at UCLA, and explain why Professor Groseclose was leaving Southern California behind for a new academic home on the East Coast.

I thanked him for tweeting out the interview and chided him to come play in our sandbox some more. It was a good interview. He comes across as a human rather than an academic.
Great quote in there: “The more I studied politicians, the more I respected them. The more I studied journalists, the less I respected them.”
I read Left Turn a couple of years ago. I had a brief correspondence with Dr. Groseclose after finishing the book. I found him to be a superb individual. Watching this interview, as I have watched every one since reading his book, I find my initital impressions of him to be fully reinforced. This is brilliant man with remarkable integrity. How he managed to survive the UCLA campus for so long should go down a great survival epic. I am definitely a fan. I plan to read his new book as soon as it is available.
