Maybe I’m being too cynical, but it seems to me that Onion video is mocking those who appeal to the founding principles and the Constitution. Essentially it’s a parody of the idea that the Founders remain relevant and that their plan for the country is still the best course. “Oh, those magical Founders will fix everything with their supergenius brains!”
The Onion is often brilliant, but I don’t trust their politics…
