2016 Lack of Self Awareness Award
Time to start collecting nominees. Mine is from last night’s 60 Minutes, and this comment from Hillary Clinton on double-standards:
Hillary Clinton: Well first, I will take responsibility for any impression or anything I’ve ever done that people have legitimate questions about. But I think that it’s fair to say there’s been a concerted effort to convince people […] something, nobody’s quite sure what, but of something. I often feel like there’s the Hillary Standard and then there’s the standard for everybody else. And–
And she thinks the Hillary Standard is the tougher!
She goes on to explain that it’s because there’s been a “concerted effort” by Republicans to portray her in a negative light, and described the double standard she believes is set for her as “unfounded, inaccurate, mean-spirited attacks with no basis in truth, reality, which take on a life of their own.”
Actually, maybe this should be the Chutzpah Award instead.

She’s absolutely right. Anyone else would be in jail.
Victims, aren’t we all.
Incredible!
Mark, you deserve an award for being able to sit through an interview of Herself by the insufferable Scott Pelley.
This is how secure she feels. And owed.
Someone should make that into an ad…
That is just what I was thinking.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to turn it into a slam on Ted Cruz, so it probably won’t happen.
… Hillary Clinton states “I often feel like there’s the Hillary standard and then there’s the standard for everybody else“.
Hahaha! I was watching this at the neighbors’! I said, “Does she HEAR herself?!”
You were watching 60 Minutes???? Eeeew!
Wow, a winner for the second year running! Who can forget her 2015 heartfelt support for victims of sexual assault, “You have the right to be heard, you have the right to be believed”? Yes, fans, the hits just keep coming!
Haha! No, my neighbor was.
Steven Seagal should remake “Above The Law” about the FBI investigation.
My fear is that she may be right. That everybody else in Washington is as corrupt or more so than her and that the right has fixated on her since she is so incompetent at hiding it.
You don’t even have to go back that far. It was last week that she made the speech inviting her audience to imagine the horror of a Trump administration, where he might actually have the capability of turning the IRS on his political enemies.
Hillary’s narcissism routinely reaches levels of toxicity that would kill a normal person. I don’t like politicians who lie often but I really fear politicians who no longer seem to know they are lying. She feels persecuted just because she knows there are many of us who don’t buy the lies. Be afraid.
Even for a politician, hers is a pathological ego. Her ego killed those four Americans in Benghazi: Every diplomatic mission but ours left but apparently no one at State was allowed to tell Madame Secretary that her signature success in Libya was now a disaster. No one could bring the 100+ requests for additional security up the chain because that also would be an admission that Madame Secretary’s signature success in Libya was in the crapper.
All normal investigative and reporting functions at State were suspended and were instead run through Cheryl Mills lest someone notice that Madame Secretary broke many rules and was too stupid to keep her overt knowledge of such infractions out of her email. The chances that President Hillary would comply with congressional oversight, judicial review and FOIA are vanishingly small.
Obama is a failed President but he did succeed in making the MSM discard even the pretense of objectivity and breaking them to the will of the Narrative. And Hillary is the last person in America who should be given that kind of power over perceptions.
She is awful, but manageable awful. Trump is unmanageable awful.
Could be, but I think it more likely that Ambassador Stevens was there to negotiate terms for running (more) weapons to Syrian “rebels” — you know, like Iran-Contra, except without the hostages.
Hillary and Bill (let’s not forget, it’s a twofer one deal) use people up. They find Americans expendable. So far, it’s been working for them.
Wow. This is why journalists should always bring a pie, with lots of whipped cream, to every interview. When Hillary says something this bad, a direct pie in the face is the only appropriate response.
I can’t believe. I think I’m actually going to vote for Trump just to spite Hillary. I find them both unfit for office, but I just can’t stand to think of her rewarded for years of corruption and manipulation.
Has anyone asked Scooter Libby about Comey’s “sure she lied to us” comments?
Last nite, my wife entered the room and said, “You won’t believe what Hillary just said on 60 Minutes. Your Ricochet buddies will be all over it tomorrow.”
Just when you think you’ve heard it all, HRC outdoes herself.
I. can’t. even…. wow. So I’m on the fence — does she believe what she says because her truth-0-meter is broken or is it that lying is so second nature that she is completely convincing?
I would say the latter if I was a betting person.
Again, wow.
And a couple of weeks ago, she actually accused the Republicans of dividing us along racial and group lines! And she had a straight face the whole time! Haha!
That’s almost Martha Coakley-level bad.
Disheartening and despairing is it not?
Lie long enough and it becomes the accepted truth.
Well said! Actually that is Bill and Hilary to a T.
The last time a Clinton was in the White House I had to explain oral sex to my kids.
