Sometimes it’s too good to be true

From the New York Post: Letitia James dodges questions about mortgage fraud scandal outside NYC home, pretends to be on the phone

This is the woman who persecuted Mr. Trump for his real estate valuations.  I just love the delicious irony that this despicable worm of a public employee is now accused of mortgage fraud.  People go to jail for that crime. I hope she will be one of them.

Whatever the left accuses you of, it is certain that they are doing it themselves.

Wait  until you find out that she would only rent her rental units to straight white men age 40-60.

And it seems, no surprise, that she was actually doing it BEFORE Trump.

In addition to doing it in ways that Trump was never accused of.

For example, James seems to have claimed Virginia as her home state for a tax benefit, despite New York requiring her to be a resident of New York and to have been such for 5 years before having the office she held and holds.

I am so golf delta happy about this, I cannot possibly exaggerate it.

She deserves jail. I had to learn all about what prosecutors are supposed to do when they unleashed all of this lawfare on Trump. She is one of the most disgusting people in this country.

If somebody popped up as a public relations firm to give her hell, I would donate $100 immediately.

What I like about this issue is the symmetry between that of which Ms. James accused Mr. Trump and that of which Ms. James is accused (both involve basically lying on a loan application).

There are tax benefits for a primary residence – “homestead” exemptions, etc – as well as mortgage rates, insurance…

But “overestimating value” is a different thing than false statements to get tax benefits etc.   Or even to hold her position as AG!  (Which requires 5 years prior residency in New York, in addition to maintaining residence.)  They didn’t “both do the same thing” as I’ve sometimes heard/read.  James actually committed the crimes that she FALSELY accused Trump of.

James’s frauds in those areas are actual crimes, not sure if her claiming to reside outside of New York is actually a crime for New York but if they believed it, it would mean she was ineligible to run for, be elected to, or hold the office of Attorney General.  Not sure if that would be another criminal charge, or “only” removal from office.  I would think that those aspiring to hold a certain office would be swearing under oath to qualify, so that would be perjury at least.  Also not sure what the implications might be if she was found to have been wrongly in office when prosecuting Trump, as well as every other case during her tenure.

She tried to make that a crime for Trump, but arguably it’s really not, because the banks etc ultimately make the decisions on value after making their own appraisals etc.  “Due diligence,” etc.  If anyone were going to consider that “fraud” it would need to be the bank claiming to be the “victim,” not the state that had nothing to do with it.

Perhaps the state might claim fraud on her for tax purposes, but that’s a different story.

You guys are all smarter than me. Why shouldn’t the GOP just completely beat this into the ground with a public relations firm? I cannot exaggerate how much I hate that communist [REDACTED]. She could possibly be a lawyer, but she doesn’t have any of the sensibilities to be a prosecutor or an AG. Lawfare is disgusting at best.

Wait and see if the story has legs and if it is ignored by Gov. Hochul, NYTimes, WaPo, NPR et. al. Then, Trump & Co. can come down not only on James but the whole list of liars and hypocrites. May not work, but it’s worth a shot. Just guessing, so don’t assume there is much intelligence behind the guess. BTW, Clay & Buck said today they have “reached out” to the governor.

    Willis and Bragg as well.

Just for s**ts and grins I did a duckduckgo search for “Leticia James indictment NPR”. Not a peep out of them . . . yet. The BBC says that “Trump administration” seeks indictment. They are getting their ducks in a row to push this as Trump getting revenge. No matter how much contempt one has for the Trump haters, it is not enough.

I think she claimed lower for tax purposes, but higher for loan-security purposes.

She also claimed that a 5-unit building she owns, was just 4-unit, because 4-unit gets better treatment in taxes and other things, for some reason.

What she did to Trump was obvious bs, and he will beat it. Costly, distracting, an abuse of her office. But he somehow survived it.

But do you all know what she is doing to Vdare? She has inflicted her office on them in a brutal and unrelenting attempt to lawfare them into bankruptcy and collapse.

Without charging them with anything -because they have done nothing wrong – she has been bleeding them with process persecution for three years. They have had to close the site, and are struggling to keep their property and bank accounts, all for the crime of speaking out about immigration issues.

I have rarely been as angry as I grew as I read Lydia Brimelow’s comprehensive recitation of the abuse and how it all happened. (Lydia and  husband Peter created Vdare.) It is the Obama IRS scandal pushed to limits I couldn’t believe was happening. It continues today.

If you haven’t read it, you are in for some boiling rage. This woman is evil.

Last week’s Radio Derb includes an update from Lydia, and a plea for donations to help them hold on while they try to fend her off, try to get to some sane court for relief from this appalling injustice.

If LJ  goes down, hoist with her own petard, I can only hope they will be able to finally see some light at the end of this terrible tunnel.
