A Helpful Guide to Cancelling “Mother”

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has recommended replacing the word “mother” with “inseminated person”.

Democratic Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers faced accusations of offending and erasing mothers after he introduced a bill in which the word “mother” was replaced with the phrase “inseminated person.”

The 1,917-page bill was introduced Tuesday by the Wisconsin Senate’s Joint Committee on Finance and contained Evers‘s budget recommendations for the 2025-2027 fiscal period. Amendments to certain parts of the bill that concerned state laws on paternity disputes and artificial insemination recommended that the term “mother” be replaced with “inseminated person” or “person inseminated;” “biological father” with “natural parent;” “husband” with “spouse;” and “male” with “person;” among other changes.

Here is a helpful sampling of the proper usage for “Inseminated Person” to help you better manage this transition. It should be noted that in order for this transition to be effective all derivations of the word “mother” – “mom”, “momma”, “mama”, etc. should also be replaced with “inseminated person”. Feel free to add your own:

Proposed usages pertaining to Inseminated Persons:

• Fairy God Inseminated Person (fairytale character)

• Inseminated Person of Pearl (an organic-inorganic compound from mollusk shells often used in buttons, musical instruments, and decorations)

• Inseminated Person Land (a reference to a country where one was born)

• Inseminated Person Earth (a romantic reference to the planet Earth)

• Inseminated Person Goose Rhymes (book)

• Necessity is the inseminated person of invention (expression)

• Inseminated Person Superior (nun in charge of a convent)…could be a problem here.

• Inseminated Person, May I? (children’s game)

• Inseminated Persons Day (a holiday honoring inseminated persons)

• The Inseminated Person of all bombs (also known as a Massive Ordnance Air Blast)

• I Remember Inseminated Person (film of a Norwegian family in early San Francisco)

• Throw Inseminated Person from the Train (comedy film with Danny DeVito and Billy Crystal loosely based on Hitchcock’s “Strangers On A Train”)

• Inseminated Person Dearest (biography, exposé, and later film about Joan Crawford)

• That’s a big, Inseminated Person! (an expression of incredulity at the enormous size of a given object – like a rocket ship, a bomb, an aircraft, a skyscraper, a sports arena, a massive tree and only very rarely to be used as a direct reference to a morbidly obese inseminated person)

    Uhhh….

    What?

At the very least, that’s not actually specific.

Not sure how much we can get away with here.

For sure it sounds like he doesn’t know what homosexual men actually… do.

Or even IVF, for that matter.

Perhaps “Inseminated Person Fornicator” works better.

    “Fornicator” is too limiting.

I think this is heartening. Usually we don’t see democrats playing up the patriotism angle but here’s one who’s clearly fighting for home, inseminated person, and apple pie.

Totally changes “What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye. Probably have to change the meter at the beginning of the song to get all the syllables in.

An attempt last year by the hyper-woke Irish Government to remove the constitutional recognition of the value of mothers’ work in the home, by referendum, and to replace it with a bland reference to “carers”, went down in flames. As did an accompanying proposal to put marriage on an equal footing with “durable relationships”, with neither the first nor the second word of that phrase  defined.

I am not familiar enough with the vernacular to be sure, but a gangbanger’s insult to another gangbanger:

“Yo inseminated person is [derogatory statement] . “

may have less sting than “Yo mama is [derogatory statement] .”

So maybe we’ll have fewer insult-driven gang fights?  Peace in the ‘hood!

The more I think about the proposal from the Wisconsin governor, the more insulting toward women the proposal seems.

Even from a strictly physical standpoint (i.e., ignoring the emotional and spiritual aspects of being a mother), being a mother is so much more than the initial joining of sperm and egg.

I have told before here of a young mother friend who has expressed amazement at the wonder that she has the capability to grow an entire new human inside of her, because she is a woman. Pregnancy caused her to really appreciate how big and wondrous and valuable the role of mother is. Although I made fun in a previous comment about “inseminated person” defanging a gangbanger’s insult, if I called this young mother an “inseminated person” I expect I would get a very negative reaction from her.

I told here just yesterday that my five year old granddaughter is clear that only a woman can become a Mommy. And as far as my granddaughter is concerned, Mommy is the highest rank job in the world.

The Oireachtas went after Irish guys’ mothers? If they had grown up in my neck of the woods, they’d have known better. That’s right up there with going after Greek guys’ moms.

Call the po-po sometime and tell them that Nico just called Conor’s mom an “inseminated person” and there will be squad cars orbiting the block in minutes.

Even before Tony Evers produced this (R) 2026 Mid Term commercial, I always found it astonishing this empty suited elementary school principal turned career school district bureaucrat could actually get elected to anything much less to be a Governor of an actual State ….. very weird …. Evers even makes AZ’s weak excuse of a Governor, Katie Hobbs, look marginally credentialed and mildly competent.

Moms being in the work force rather than “at home” has been costly in terms of civic life. The idea promulgated by the left of women at home watching soap operas all day was ridiculous but pervasive. The truth was that all those youth groups and new schools and town libraries, church programs, and town government and local politics–all of those community resources were run largely by this group of people. Then there was the caregiving–both short and long term.

My grandmother is on my most-admired list. She used to run the Ladies’ Auxiliary for her local Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in a town north of Boston where she lived. She used to get up every morning at 4:30 to get to the hospital by 6:00 to make toast and coffee and the occasional scrambled egg for the doctors and nurses there. Over the course of three or four years, she and her tiny organization raised enough money to buy the hospital’s first CT scan machine. :) A great ceremony was held to mark the occasion.

These are the kinds of things that were unpaid but immensely valuable to American life.

Flipping forward thirty years–I found it so hard to find volunteers for a couple of the organizations I headed up in my town. There was a real loss in every kind of civic life when moms left home and joined the work force.

“Mom” means a lot of things.

Oh, inseminated person, I’m in fear for my life
From the long arm of the law
Lawman has put an end to my running
And I’m so far from my home
Oh, inseminated person, I can hear you a crying
You’re so scared and all alone
Hangman is coming down from the gallows
And I don’t have very long
