Obama Bros Trash Biden’s Old, Tired & Feckless Rhetoric
The fight in the Democrat Party over their 2024 loss and their silly, feckless rhetoric picks up! At first it seemed that the only Democrat who wanted to go there was the Ragin’ Cajin.
“We’ve got to tone down the idiotic NPR jargon!”
But now, the Obama PR bros have been let off their leash and given full empowerment to go nuclear. The liberal hosts of “Pod Save America” (Tommy Vietor, Jon Favreau and Jon Lovett), are giving full throat to this same theme [link]:
“There’s like an entire language that Democrats just need to f–king throw in the trash about like ‘institutions,’ ‘democracy,’ ‘sacred this,'” said Jon Favreau, who served as one of former President Barack Obama’s speechwriters.
“If you’re too mired in the past, if you become, this is from the original philosopher, stubborn like an old man, you also become doomed to repeat yourself,” Lovett said.
“Our party is one sad op-ed,” Vietor said.
Obviously, they are mostly attacking their former “warhorse,” but saying nothing about the actual candidate who was brought in to run in the place of said warhorse. Yes, the losing rhetoric was the same but you can’t pass it off as due to a stubborn old man, dudes.
Another laugh from their introspection:
“Let’s just be authentic and to the point,” Carville said.
Ah, Jimmy, but you know that you can’t do that either. Your entire party’s platform and talking points come straight out of a faculty lounge that is marinated in the NPR jargon. You cannot be authentic and to the point about your vision, mission and agenda. If you were, the American people would reject you in an even greater way than they did Kamala.
And speaking of it being terrible to use words like “institutions,” “democracy,” and “sacred,” how come you pretty boys chose “Pod Save America” for your podcast? None of you could give a rip about saving America. You, like Obama, sought to transform destroy it like a California wildfire.
So Tommy, JonJon, Jimmy … you really aren’t talking about changing the essence of the old, tired, feckless rhetoric, you only want the rhetoric to be gussied up, spun better and delivered by a Hollywood-cast candidate.
You guys couldn’t be authentic if your lives depended on it.
One last observation. Didja ever notice that it is the old, stubborn Republicans who are now the only ones still clinging to January 6 as some sort of political rallying call? Pathetic. Feckless.

Regarding Carville’s picture above, it is not true that he auditioned for the role of Mr. Rate in Shooter.
The left never change, they double down.
As do the vichy Republicans, eh?
Levon Helm, but you probably knew that.

I was reading about some leftie criticizing Kamala, in particular, over her use of the term “centering”. I has never heard of it before but I saw it again a few days later. I have tried to figure out how it’s used but I still don’t have a handle on it. I think it’s supposed to mean in the political center but I don’t think lefties use it that way. Their idea of the political center is somewhere between BLM and Lenin.
Remember when FJB was going to save democracy – good times
It’s just re-packaging the same material, but I’m wondering now about the middle, basically middle-class and minorities that moved toward Trump in the last election. Without that margin, they’ve lost that core, which I think most folks agree has happened.
Maybe the long march through the institutions wasn’t as effective as originally thought. Most people still have to unlimber their wallet to eat, and Democrats have made that much, much more difficult, and you can’t put everybody on welfare.
They’re giving it a good try, though. One or two steps at a time. That’s why they didn’t object to Trump sending out those big checks during covid.
Including the aptly named David French.
