Latest Biden Pardon
In a statement from President Joe Biden, December 24, 2024.
Published in HumorI have been receiving many letters from concerned citizens about the arrest and possible future conviction of Chuck Mangione, which could result in the death penalty. The death penalty, man. Literally. For those who don’t remember, Chuck Mangione is most famous for playing trombone in the … what’s that? OK, maybe it was a trumpet or who the hell knows? It’s some kind of horn. His big song, the one he’s most beloved for, was “Feels So Right,” which apparently was a really big hit in Alabama. According to these letters, Mangione’s so called “crime” was just standing up to a health care executive in New York City. And crazy MAGA Republicans want to see him executed. Well, that’s not going to happen on my watch, so I’m giving him a pardon while I still can. Play on, Chuck.
Nice. I believe this version is more accurate than the last official one.
I miss the days when I could do a Google Search for “”no one is above the law” Trump” (minus the outer quotes) and compare the number of hits with a search for “”no one is above the law” Mangione”
Before writing this, I did a quick search online for “Biden pardons Chuck Mangione,” because I thought someone has surely already done this bit, and I didn’t want Ricochet’s most annoying pedant to accuse me of stealing a bit from The Onion, Babylon Bee, or whoever. Suprisingly, nothing came up that included Biden and Chuck Mangione, so I ran with it, without looking harder.
Way to narrow it down there.
Now that is funny.
I spent some time looking for Biden’s pardon/commutation of Mangione: Couldn’t find it.
Must be a joke.
Now he is free to return to his part time job as celebrity spokesperson for Mega Lo Mart.
See the post “Ivy League Idiot”
I tried to head this one off at the pass.
