Ivy League Idiot

Luigi Mangione (no relation to Chuck) is fighting extradition to New York. What kind of an idiot is this guy?  He should be begging for extradition to New York, as quickly as possible. Bragg is likely to release him without bail, put him up in a five-star hotel with all expenses paid, including health care (mental health care in this case) and perhaps charge him with jaywalking when he fled the scene of the crime. He will be released with a plea bargain on that charge, then given the keys to the city and made an assistant in the DA’s office, handling IT. Subsequently, he will receive whatever top award the city gives for meritorious service.

It really does appear that some of this kind of behavior stems from what is taught in the curriculum in what is referred to as Ivy League class school.

Plus, in NYC, Bragg would coordinate closely with the DOJ to assure that no federal charges would be brought. It would be almost as good as Hunter’s pardon.

If only he were a little more tan and illegal. Maybe he could try a Chico Marx accent.

But that’s only good until January 20.

NYC has leftist prosecutors, but the politicians know that the financial industry pays the bills.  The city cannot afford have Wall Street types and C-suite types afraid to live/work/visit the city.

Giving him going dark from friends and family, suggests he might be out of his mind. My guess it either drug induced or mental health related (or both).

OTOH, Bragg lost a huge case to a white guy (Penny), so nailing a different white guy might get him off the hook . . .

    I concur.

I thought his 6 months’ disappearance while he was reportedly self-medicating with hallucinogenics could explain how he could be so out of touch with reality, while yet not be legally insane in the sense of not knowing right from wrong and not being able to conform his behavior to the law.

That’s right. So he should stop fighting extradition and get to NYC as fast as he can. If he goes now, he could be in NYC in time to accept a likely faculty position offer from Columbia for the winter semester.

What’s with the correlation between assassins and residing in Hawaii?

The assassin of Brian Thompson, CEO of United Healthcare apparently spent time in Hawaii.

The second attempted assassin of then-presidential-candidate Donald Trump is also said to have spent time in Hawaii.

Correlation does not equal causation. But they can be interesting to note.

I wonder if this is the first time a valedictorian has assassinated another valedictorian.

If they would just go after each other, and leave the rest of us alone, that seems like an improvement.

As to idiocy, I’m baffled as to why he supposedly was still carrying stuff that may connect him to the assassination.

He is much too smart to watch police procedurals.

After all, the news is mostly fake.
