J. Edgar’s Ghost

A couple of years back, I published a post here that some of you may recognize, If the FBI Asks, Do You Answer? (behind the paywall), where I said:

[On previous occasions] I was presented with natural law enforcement concerns and engaged the situation respectfully and constructively. I am not sure I could do that today. The sheer dishonesty of the FBI’s public conduct suggests any trust in the FBI pursuing its law enforcement mission is misplaced.

So, if the FBI asks, do you answer? Do you tell the truth? Do you dummy up? Do you lawyer up?

The FBI under Director Christopher Wray has conducted an unprecedented and wholly unnecessary and unwarranted raid of an ex-President’s personal home and, failing to find the evidence they sought, manufactured and photographed “evidence” on site to share with the media. And so, the following caught my eye today:

Adam Schiff, of course, was a lead figure in Congress’ J6 Kangaroo Court Hearings that seized the J6 evidence, conducted extraordinarily questionable hearings, and then destroyed all of the evidence so that the plentiful exculpatory evidence gathered could never be seen again. Who better to rise up on his hind legs and demand that free Americans submit voluntarily to the traditional authority of the FBI and its (current) director Christopher Wray.

I want to thank Adam Schiff. His epic lack of self-awareness in this moment which he has helped create but in no way comprehended. He has, by his endorsement, reminded us why this FBI is in no way a trusted instrument of this great nation. When history sent to central casting a call for a clueless rage clown to underscore the moment, Rep. Adam Schiff answered the call. Again and again.

And thanks to Laura Loomer, for so clearly and ably explaining the joke. It would obviously be an own goal to submit in any way to these weaponized institutions crafted at the hands of Biden, Wray, and many, many others before they are properly sanitized.

I grew up in DC, and it was almost always a snooze. But now that town is lit!!! Have a great weekend.

I just love “clueless rage clown,” there is so much at work in those three words.

When this short (except to those of us who lived through it) era is done and the history books decide upon an exemplar of the constant efforts to deceive the public, will it be Schiff? He makes a strong case.

Who knows? We may see another strong case involving him soon related to the public sharing of classified material.

I think the casual treatment of classified material is too widespread to be dealt with this way. There are many Biden garages in this country. There are many security officers who tried to make a stand and were lucky if they kept their pensions. Rules are something for lesser people in many, many circles. (Others take the rules with deadly seriousness and safeguard the republic with all of the tools at their disposal. These are the people we should find and honor and elevate.) I don’t think one needs that stick when it comes to the Schiff pinata, there is a whole forest of sticks to hit this one with.

Schiff was also one who came out of classified briefings claiming to have absolute proof of Trump malfeasance, but he was, of course, lying.

And likely far too many items deemed ‘classified.’ Regardless, the DoJ could just announce or leak that a file is open on the matter.

When the FBI marked documents they found at Mar-a-Lago with classification markings and then photographed them as evidence, they actually classified them by applying the marking, giving them now actual classified documents in Mar-a-Lago. Of their own making. I do not know if they added the documents to their security log to record their action, as procedure usually requires.

And people are reluctant to dismantle and restructure an agency that does that. The news didn’t tell them to be alarmed so they aren’t. What a perfect opportunity to speak truth to power, then….crickets.

And then there was this (emphasis mine):

Jeff Veltri, the FBI Miami Field Office Special Agent in Charge (SAC), who is now leading the investigation of Trump would-be assassin Ryan Routh, was investigated by the FBI for retaliating against conservatives inside the agency by identifying them as a “security concern.”

Veltri, who previously served as a section chief in the Security Division at FBI Headquarters during the time the so-called “Trump questionnaire” was used by the FBI, had already been accused of retaliating against conservatives. Earlier reports revealing he was instructed to purge his social media of anti-conservative and anti-Trump posts before being promoted.

If Veltri and whoever assigned him resigned yesterday, it would not be soon enough. There are still people who think they are going to prevent Trump from assuming office. And they are certainly motivated to make that happen.

I can’t wait for the FBI to return the boxes to Mar a Lago. They wouldn’t even let Trump know what they took… a red flag …. So now they must remove manufactured evidence or leave it for Trump’s team to do their own research. Trump can declassify whatever he wants or list the items by their unclassified title … that the FBI refused to even do that was another red flag.

Trump can either fire the GSA agents who certified his storage means or the FBI and DOJ actors who claimed it wasn’t certified. He will make sure the GSA creates and leaves in place security requirements necessary for his future office as a past president. He can start his presidential library and start populating it, but I am sure Melania’s panties, though important to the FBI, will not go into his library. It should have a room dedicated to that whole shameful coup served on him. Includes a copy of Crossfire Hurricane and pics of the corrupt actors.

Adam Schiff is despicable. Didn’t he just get re-elected, too? I’m concerned that Christopher Wray still has time left on his contract, and he plans to stay. It’s not clear whether he can be fired. He certainly should be.

The bigger clowns are corporate media who kept having him on – pushing the Russia Collusion Tripe.

Someone should ask Schiff what president had the Russian Reset, Dismantled the Missile defense shield in Poland / Czech republic, who told Mitt Romney – the 80s called and want their foreign policy back and finally, told Medveded “Tell Vlad I will have more flexibly after the election”

The California GOP did okay in opposing him, though. Steve Garvey was/is a good candidate. Maybe they’ll get a great candidate one of these days and we’ll find out there’s more R in California than we thought. My wife insists it is so.

Especially because of the jungle primary, right? To even get a Republican to the general election was a feat.

That and probably more than a few Giants fans refusing to vote for him. To be fair, I’m not sure Dodger fans would vote for Will Clark.

There is a reason they wouldn’t list the unclassified titles on the inventory and let Trump see what they took. Now they must give them back. Jack smith seems desperate to keep Trump from getting them back.

    The manufactured “evidence” by:
-saying he “stole” documents-claiming he had “government” property when the president decides what is personal and what isn’t. Any disagreement with the lower level archivist isn’t a crime but. One thing to be negotiated to a resolution.

-by spreading classified cover sheets on the floor for a photo op that implies Trump had carelessly strewn classified all over the floor.

-by claiming there were many cover sheets with no documents then implying he had done something nefarious with the nonexistent documents. Cover sheets in themselves are not classified and many extras exist at every safe. They are left over when a document is shredded and for adding to documents when they are created. Documents aren’t traditionally filed away in a safe with cover sheets attached.

-by claiming Trump and the lawyer lied when there is no indication either knew all the contents of either box

-by leaking there were empty folders marked classified and implying in the leak that he might have already sold the information to the enemy or Russia. Folders such as those are common for transitory information.

-by implying the documents were in unsecured locations in a public place. Mar a Lago was his Florida White House, secure enough for him to do his official duties while president and as the past president. He was given government funds to establish that office and retainEd his clearance when he left office so could advise future presidents. That Biden only sought advice from Bush and Obama and wanted to take away Trump’s clearance retroactively were both dick moves by a man who really committed the crimes he falsely accused Trump of doing.

All these fabrications came well after 4 years of fabrications which should accurately be called a coup. The plotters and liars need to be indicted. Obama is a cancer. Smith should be punished, lose his law license, and be forbidden from working in government. If we were a serious country, there would be a tribunal. I doubt if Trump wants the distraction but he should be refunded all the money it cost him to defend himself in the colluding states (Georgia, NYC) and the federal government.  Several judges need to be impeached.

Not all of those items fall into the category of “manufacturing evidence.” Might be best not to muddy the issues.
