Elizabeth Warren: Hegseth Not Qualified as SecDef

“A Fox & Friends weekend co-host is not qualified to be the Secretary of Defense. I lead the Senate military personnel panel. All three of my brothers served in uniform.” Elizabeth Warren

Pocahontas has the temerity to claim that someone is not qualified for a position. Yes, the same white woman who claimed her high cheekbones made her Native American and thus qualified her for special treatment to become a Harvard law professor.

She has led the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Personnel during a time of failing to meet recruiting goals and surging DEI foolishness. Yet she claims overseeing those failures somehow qualifies her to pass judgment on Pete Hegseth’s qualifications.

And her three brothers served in uniform. But how does that help her understand the military? Just like she glommed on to a fake Indian identity, she is trying to glom onto her brothers’ service to make her an authority on who should be Secretary of Defense.

Maybe a shakeup in DoD and sending the fake Indian packing from her job in charge of the Senate military personnel subcommittee would be a good start to reforming the military.

Glommed – that’s an apt word I haven’t heard in awhile. Warren is repugnant in her arrogance. I wonder if her brothers appreciate being used thus.

Hegseth’s nomination at DoD is one of my absolute favorites.    After 40+ years as a consultant to mega-large organizations my usual complaint is that “ no one who runs the organization has ever actually done the job”

Hegseth has walked the walk.    It’s about time someone who’s been at the pointy end of the spear has the top job.

    Hurrah for Pete!!!!

The Dems don’t want to hear about native Americans- didn’t you hear? That demographic gave Trump his greatest margin.

Mrs. Tabby pointed out to me how curious it was that all the media and critics of the appointment mentioned only Mr. Hegseth’s role as a Fox News contributor, and completely overlooked everything else on his resume.

I know nothing about Mr. Hegseth’s capabilities, so I have no opinion about whether he is the right person for a complex job like Secretary of Defense, but his two college degrees, his two decades of military service, and (as I understand it) his running of a large group for military veterans would seem like it ought to carry some weight.

I also know the media lies to its audience, is getting bolder and more brazen in the extent of their lies.

As with so many functions of government in recent years, the “experienced” people running the Department of Defense haven’t been making such a great show of competence.

So maybe we should be looking outside the “normal” field of candidates.

At a minimum examine what in the “normal” channels has caused so many who rose through them to be so poor at their basic job.

Elizabeth Warren is one of the most terrible people in this country. Extreme lying on her resume. Totally overpaid. I’m not an expert on this, but I heard she’s a great big corporate lawyer, and she didn’t even become a member of the bar in one of the states she was practicing in.

Howie Carr had a really funny guy on his show. The guy was an actual Indian from Oklahoma and he was going to Harvard when Warren was there. They had some big Indian meet up thing at Harvard and he knew she wasn’t an Indian and he went up to her office and invited her. Of course, she said no. It was one of the funniest radio things I have ever heard.

I mean, she is just awful.

Remember when Whoopi suggested that Dr. Jill Biden would make an excellent Surgeon General, because of her vast medical knowledge. We need to turn to The View for advice on Cabinet choices.

Hegseth was a victim of their DEI war on white Christian males. They will hate him because he will call back their long march through that institution. He wrote a book about the problems caused by the current military leadership. After the way general officers acted, who is surprised Trump skipped over them to ex field grade officers. Until all serving since Obama retire out, all should be looked at with skepticism.

My favorite quote from the book so far, “Again, cowardly generals caving to beta-male politicians.” I’m about to finish Chapter 5, The (Deadly) Obsession with Women Warriors. He shot down the argument that putting women in combat units was a civil rights case like  integrating the races. He pointed out that black males have the same physical capabilities as white males. Women do not. He then points out examples of lowering standards so women can pass. While I have no problem with separate standards for men and women to serve, I am a strong believer that there should be minimum standards for men and women for career fields that require stronger, more physically fit people, especially combat-related ones. Those standards should never be lowered to accommodate women. They aren’t lowered for males so more can pass rigorous special ops training. Women can carve out a successful career serving their country without being placed where they don’t physically belong.

We had an election issue in our  county regarding renaming our local town which has been called Kesleyville for at least 90 years, over to the Indian name Konocti.

Big huge uproar of those wanting the change vs those not wanting it.

Those wanting the Indian name could not stand hearing that  of the many  native Americans who were quite happy to have the name stay the same. Because if the town name is changed then  their businesses would need to add in the expense for signage, stationary and updating the websites.

As one individual stated “Sure the Kelsey family killed our ancestors. But almost no one knows that history any more, so I don’t see how the name  is honoring that family.”

They changed the name of possibly the most popular lake in Minneapolis from Calhoun to something I can’t remember or pronounce. Calhoun was a very, very bad person. He was quite possibly the worst citizen we ever had. So, I support that, but generally no.

He rode a horse up there and discovered it or something. I mean, I had absolutely no idea what a creep he was.  He went out of his way to say vile things about blacks and how they deserved slavery and he really was a leader on this stuff. I mean, he got organized and led tent revivals, and wrote editorials. Everybody should have slaves and everybody should have more slaves. The guy was just sick. I heard that on either Hugh Hewitt or Dennis Prager.

He is sick by today’s standards. Back then he had little feedback to set personal moral boundaries. Far too many around him agreed with him as evidenced by his election as VP. I compare that to today using abortion. Those who promote it, especially after the first trimester today are sick but they have no pushback from those around them to moderate their beliefs. Yes, there is a pro-life side just like there was a pro abolition side back then, but there wasn’t enough cultural change to give enough weight to the abolition side just like there isn’t enough cultural change today to change the abortion crowd. .

To follow the pattern of slavery, the culture will gradually change and future generations will speak of the abortion supporters as we speak about the slavery supporters today. The nameless population will be referred to generally but all the politicians with radical abortion comments on record could be reviled in the future just as Calhoun is today. Many of the ones most obsessed about past sins will be the ones condemned in the future for their beliefs today, a humorous twist.

You can’t make anybody provide decent prenatal care. The Democrat party is expert at making women hysterical about it even when it isn’t an issue. I wish we would just completely drop it for four presidential cycles.

I can’t find a more direct video, but Porges and Schore have proven that bad psychological states in the mother in the third trimester screws up the kid frequently. You guys can say whatever you want, but it takes a hell of a lot of money and a good psychologist to reverse attachment issues.

I wish we would just drop the abortion thing for four presidential cycles. It went up 15% after they got rid of Roe versus Wade.
