Does Kamala Harris Even Want To Win?

She is not acting like she does.  If Harris were serious about winning this election, she would we be making a visible effort to improve her retail political skills.

Instead, she has remained perfectly static, recycling the same drab “See and Say” responses no matter how many opportunities she is given to rephrase, restate, and thereby rehabilitate herself.    A driven, ambitious person recognizes when her efforts are not paying off and welcomes opportunities to correct and improve.  Harris shows no such ambition.  She seems to be relying on Big Media and the Democratic Party machine to do her work for her.

I don’t know how else to explain her perfect lack of interest in improving her presentation, except to conclude she does not feel burdened to win the presidency. She expects it to be delivered to her.

The left has said it’s racist to call Harris “lazy” but that’s what she is.

She’s never been challenged before.  On anything.  She grew up in a bubble, and still lives in one.

She has no idea how to respond, when someone challenges her.

    How would she?

She would know how to respond better because for 25 years she has worked alongside highly skilled pols and attorneys who are really good at this (Willie Brown, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi) .  A driven person makes the effort to learn from the skilled people around her and improve herself.   She shows no interest in learning or improving.  That’s why I come back to the idea that maybe she doesn’t really want the presidency that badly, at least not enough to make a serious effort for it.

I think she would like to be appointed and nominally have the job and accompanying benefits (same as VP,)  but has no interest in interviewing and auditioning for the job, with the possibility of rejection.
After reading how much cash on hand the “campaign” has, I wonder how much of it she believes she will ride off into the sunset with.

I have noticed this week that the infamous “cackle” and its relative the nervous laugh, which conspicuously disappeared in the weeks after she was handed the nomination, have returned.

Maybe she’s such a dim bulb that she honestly doesn’t understand the difference between what these highly skilled pols did and what she’s doing.  She can’t recognize their skills.  They made vague promises to people and spewed left-wing talking points.  She’s making vague promises to people and spewing left-wing talking points.  Same thing, right?  Why doesn’t it work for her?

I loved the interviewer response when as she was trying to denigrate Donald Trump she told the interviewer, “We both know what I’m talking about,” and the interviewer responded, “No, in fact I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Ms. Harris had assumed that the interviewer would go along with whatever nonsense Ms. Harris was spewing. I presume because that’s what her entire experience has been.

Ms. Harris has a well-documented history of not paying attention to the briefings that are given to her. If she won’t even pay attention to or absorb the information specifically directed to, and intended for, her, why would she pay attention to or absorb information that surrounds her but is not specifically directed to her?

Actually, she has one response in her quiver to a challenge:  the schoolmarmish “I’m speaking”  attack.  Unfortunately for her, after her opponent cedes her the floor, she actually has to speak.

I suppose that’s right.  And looking back, I suppose she has never really had to make much of a personal effort to get ahead.  She got into Hastings through some kind of “hardship” program.  She had to take the bar exam twice.  Willie Brown brought her into California politics on a (ahem..) transactional basis.  California’s one-party Democrat machine pulled her up the career ladder.  And despite a pathetic run for the Democrat nomination, Joe Biden picked her as VP to pay off a political promise to James Clyburn.   So yeah…maybe her indolence is rooted in an expectation that powerful people will hand her the presidency just like they handed her everything else.

In 2010, the best chance to remove Jan the Communist Schakowsky from congress was when she was challenged by Joel Pollak.  Pollak raised money, notably with a fundraiser with one of his former professors–Alan Dershowitz.  He wiped the floor with Jan at a League of Women Voters forum, so much so that Jan wouldn’t debate Pollak at all later in the election cycle.  Then Pollak started backing off heavy duty campaigning choosing instead to do things like meet with friends of his wife in various living rooms around Skokie.  I’m not saying that moving his focus from Obama’s middle east policy to lighter issues and a lighter schedule a few weeks before the election put the nail in the campaign, but the outcome was the same.  Pollak lost 66-31.

That election was when I became your 9th District Neighbor because it allowed me to comment critically about him…in a supportive way, anonymously.  Joel Pollak was the closest any candidate has ever gotten and he threw it away.  Kamala is doing some of the same things…taking the day off, sticking to DC, speaking for six minutes, etc.  I don’t think she wants it,  at least she doesn’t seem to want to work for it.  After the 2010 election, Pollak moved to California and went to work for Breitbart.  After the 2024 election, Kamala will move to California but won’t go to work for Breitbart.

The Illinois GOP will continue to put up sacrificial lambs who will lose 80-20 against Schakowsky.  Jan will leave Congress as Ginsburg left the Supreme Court, feet first.

Mary Katharine Ham subjected herself to watch Kamala this week. She said that there’s a point during the latest event where you can see Kamala realizes that the card in her brain for that topic becomes empty. She’s reached the end of the information on the card but there’s still time to talk but she doesn’t have anything to say. The reporters keep prompting her to improve her answer but she doesn’t know enough to pick up on the clues.

Still fun how the Chicago (D) Machine let hubby Bob Creamer take the fall (felony Federal Prison term 5 months, 11 months house arrest) for the check kiting scheme and filing fraudulent Federal (joint) Tax Returns ostensibly used to fund Jan’s first (D) Congressional Primary ….

Our dutiful Congresswoman(I’m in the 9th too) got to play the role of ditzy wife and used the Sergeant Schultz “I know nothing” excuse …. and when the fix is in the Blue Blue IL and Cook County to boot …. Jan walks scot free as if nothing ever happened and wins the next nine IL-9th District Congressional seats with no (D) opposition and beating the (R) “sacrificial lambs who will lose 80-20”.

She’s 80 now, so she should be leaving the seat fairly soon (not wishing her dead but “feet first” when your in your 80’s is not weird)… With all that said it’s safe to assume the (D) Party will safely fill the seat with another communist to represent the IL-9th.

Having hypothesized above that Kamala is just dumb, it could also be that she’s the proverbial dog that caught the car and didn’t know what to do with hit.

She probably wants to be elected president, but doesn’t really want to be president.  She seems to me to have an almost terminal case of imposter syndrome.  Deep down she probably knows that she’s not up to the job, but will never admit it, maybe not even to herself.  If so, she may be intentionally sabotaging herself, either consciously or subconsciously.

I suspect that she is a bit like the proverbial dog that chases the car and actually catches it. She doesn’t have a clue as to what to do with it.

She sought the nomination in 2019. Didn’t even get close. She was probably better suited back then to running, though never actually able to be president. Now she has the nomination, and, I suspect, that at some level she is terrified. She had nearly four years as vice president during which she was an abject failure, a true example of the Peter Principle. Now, she is facing the possibility of reaching a place for which she has no qualifications and which she knows better than anyone else how inadequate she is. She can visualize when the lights go out at night what it will be like to sit across the table from world leaders like Vladimir Putin, and it has to scare the juice out of her when she understands that the safety of the country and its people depend on her.

She is an idiot, but not enough of a narcissist to believe that she has what it will take. So, to some extent, she is self-sabotaging.
