Abbey Gate, Kabul, Afghanistan, Third Anniversary
I had planned to write a short post about the third anniversary of the outrage at Abbey Gate, Kabul Airport, but no words of mine or anyone else’s would come close to the video linked below of the statements made by the families of our lost service members. (Sorry, could only get the video address.)
I will note briefly, however, that President Trump honored them yesterday by placing a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. Biden was (still) on vacation. Harris had nothing on her schedule. Neither has ever mentioned their names. Ever.

The blood of these soldiers is on her hands as well. The last thing she wants is something on her schedule. She might get asked about it.
Biden is currently on vacation in Delaware, recovering from his vacation in California.

Just tried it; worked for me. If anyone knows how to copy Twitter videos I sure would like to learn how. I have learned that unless I can find a video on You Tube it’s impossible to copy out the video into a post. Any help appreciated.
Thanks for the reminder, Jim. A sorry chapter in our country’s history.
I spent six months doing small things for a rescue team. One of the team members lost a close friend at Abbey Gate. She was a marine. She grieved. She would disappear for a week and then show up again. I learned later that she’d been flying back to Kabul every few weeks to do whatever she could to make things right. I’ve lost contact with her, but her courage mixed with her grief had a big impact on me.

That is truly heartwrenching. The photo of Biden checking his watch is disgusting. However, his and his administration’s failure to name and commemorate the fallen is even worse. No one in that administration should hold office in this nation. However, for Biden, it might have been just one more proof of his callous indifference to his office and the responsibilities incumbent on it. It is totally fitting that his final days in office are characterized by his taking a two week vacation from doing nothing. His was not just a basement campaign, it was a basement presidency. Good riddance!
I always thought Biden never really wanted the job, just the title.
He wanted all of the benefits and none of the responsibility.
