Sen Ron Johnson: Both FBI and US Secret Service Are Stonewalling The Assassination Attempt Investigation

From the first paragraphs of an article published by the NY Post:

Sen. Ron Johnson accused the FBI and Secret Service of stonewalling a Senate probe of last month’s assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.

Johnson (R-Wis.), who is part of a bipartisan Senate investigation into the attempt on Trump’s life, argued that the bureau and Secret Service have complicated the probe by giving them redacted documents, often on the day of key interviews.

“All I can really tell you is the Secret Service, FBI are basically dragging their feet. They’re stonewalling us,” Johnson vented on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“We’re not getting squat, from my standpoint, from the Secret Service or the FBI. We have requested all their 302s, their transcriptions of their interviews with hundreds of individuals. They’re not turning those over to us as well.”

Full article at the link above.

My comment: of course, it is not only the two agencies that Johnson names who are failing to do their jobs. Where are reporters at major newspapers or TV stations who are tasked with asking the important questions?

Had it been Joe Biden or Kamala Harris who were a fraction of an inch from having their heads blown off, things would be different. By now, whoever was in the loop and allowed for there to be no coverage by SS on the rooftop where Crooks took his shot would be named and demoted. (I venture that quite a few more individuals than the woman head of the SS, who has since resigned, were involved in the decision.)

And from one of the few Congressmen I respect, comes this observation.

Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie

The same bureau that investigated the Las Vegas shooting and the January 6th pipe bombs is now investigating the attempted assassination of Trump. This is also the same bureau that raided Mar-a-Lago. I’m sure they’ll get to the bottom of this soon.

Yes this lack of a report 30 days after the event strikes me as unusual.  The quick body cremation strikes me as highly unusual.  Still I want the report to be as thorough as possible and the investigation should go as deep as possible.  There are some things that are important to remember.

First, those in government who seek to obfuscate issues often try to rile things up by slow-walking investigations.  This tends to rile up those of us who want answers.  Getting riled up leads to making mistakes and making us look like a pack of crazies.  Even Senator Johnson understands this as he said “It’s just driving suspicion and conspiracy theories.”  As we demand answers, let’s all be respectful but direct.

Another thought is that there is foreign influence going on here.  Reports about the shooter having access to a supremely sophisticated web security software is intriguing.  There are foreign actors out there who would benefit from President Trump’s death.  If the FBI investigation is finding foreign links then a slow and thorough process is needed and any indications might damage fact finding.

On the other hand the FBI investigation might be finding more internal involvement and they need time to keep unraveling the spaghetti.  The FBI would still be wise to have a closed door meeting with the committee to communicate same.

Then again we should never assume a massive conspiracy when incompetence is the answer.  That might be the case here just simple incompetence.

Of course I also don’t want to forget that it actually might be a massive conspiracy.

In the end the Congressional investigators need to keep up the pressure.  My personal thanks to these Congress members for their diligence.  The rest of us are wise to respectfully keep asking questions because there are a lot of open issues with the assassination attempt.  A full and complete report is needed.

It’s a bunch of meaningless drivel. As long as Congress funds the administrative state Congress has no power.

This isn’t how it works. This is an example of how it’s already out of control. People need jailtime for refusing to comply with constitutional and statutory duties. That may be the only way it stops.

As far as your comment that I just emboldened, it could be massive incompetency.

I did watch one video that purportedly involved an ex-Secret Service guy who was willing to be interviewed.

And he seemed to think that there were actual decent explanations for why the SS was not keeping closer tabs on Crooks. His perceptions were explained in detail and made sense.

If I can remember which podcast host put together that interview, I’ll copy and paste the link to it.

Of course even if the matter proves to “be only” a matter of massive incompetence, the need to revamp the agency should be made a super high priority.

    Funny you should mention that.

Those who think that this was a governmental MIHOP have used the complete  lack of  an official narrative  following the assassination attempt as a possible proof that it was planned internally.

Many of us believe that if this internal alphabet agency involvement is the case, and had Trump been killed, most certainly we would have immediately been told about a web of intrigue that led right back to Iran.

Netanyahu, if memory serves, insinuated the same thing in his recent address to Congress. That if the American public needs to figure out what that attempt was about, we must consider Iran.

According to the above speculative scenario, had Trump not turned his head at the exact moment, it would have been a two-fer. The twisted internal plot would have gotten rid of He Who has been A Thorn In the Side of The Dem National Families of Crime would have been gone for good. The major war that Israeli leaders have announced as one that the USA should get involved in for the sake of both nations, going all the way back to speeches Netanyahu made in the 1980’s, would possibly now be underway.

Another factor to consider is that Trump had not picked a VP when he was almost murdered. The MAGA movement would have been in chaos if he had been killed. Perhaps DeSantis would have won but we will never know. With Vance selected, the next generation is clear and the globalists will have more difficulty wresting control back from MAGA.

Put this failure and foot dragging together with the whole Hunter Biden investigation’s lack of action, and I think it is a combination of incompetence and lack of effort integrity. I’m beginning to doubt the integrity of the entire Department of Justice(?).

More evidence on my point on another post, that how many laws you have and how great they might be, doesn’t matter if the wrong people are running things.

Sen Josh Hawley tells Jesse Waters of Fox that the people who were supposedly Secret Service and present at the assassination attempt on July 13th were actually Homeland Security personnel. Who had been given only two hours of training:
