The Convention of the Party of Total Depravity

I missed most of the pagan bacchanalia — er, I mean, the Democratic National Convention — Monday night.  Thankfully, I had to work.  But I did catch the last interminable fifteen or twenty minutes of Biden’s midnightish speech and it was an angry, fist-shaking doozy.  The lies that spewed out of this possessed creature’s mouth, the cheers from the depraved crowd of fallen souls . . .  It’s all too much.  How can this possibly be where America is now?

And outside, drawn to this event like flies to excrement, were the depraved protestors with their various and sundry depraved causes, raging against heaven and earth, trying in vain to fill the chasmic void of their empty souls.  People dressed up as abortion pills and a mobile “health” clinic for onsite actual abortions and vasectomies!  Wow!  This is in-your-face death cultism.

The horrifying spectacle of all this evil on open display should be enough to shake our post-Christian country back to its senses and a healthy yearning for God — but I fear it won’t.  Barring divine intervention, there are very dark days ahead.

I can’t help but think that what we are seeing throughout our degraded society and government is a thousand times worse than what the patriots rebelled against in 1776.  If this evil party — that is obsessed with death, open borders, socialism, the sexual corruption of children, identity politics, Jew- and Israel-hate, the denigration of American and Western history, and all the rest — retains power in November . . .  What on earth are we going to do?

This simply can’t continue on.  Will we go down whimpering or will we find a way to fight back?  I’m not a particular Trump fan, but I would walk across hot coals to vote for him if that’s what it takes to stave off evil, even temporarily.  Ultimately, he can’t save us, but at least it would be a finger in the dike.  Without that, we’re going down.

Spot on.  When my wife showed me the picture of the official abortion facility it hit me as total depravity.  What happened to politicians kissing babies?  Will the Democrat politicians hold up and caress the dismembered body parts of an aborted fetus instead?  What is this evil?  It’s one thing to support a “woman’s right to choose” but to actually encourage the killing of the innocents by having an evil operating table available  for their party’s sacrament is simply over the top.

Like you I fear this Molech-honoring tabernacle will not wake Americans.  It should be a wake up call to any Christians who attend the Democrat convention to get the heck out of town.  Democrats must certainly believe that this will get more votes than it will discourage.  How awful.

I had the same thoughts as you in your post.  When I flipped to CBS news coverage, they were actually interviewing (I was astonished) Bill Ayers (yes – that Bill Ayers) and what looked to me like a trans person who had covered their head in one big scarf:

(from Wikipedia) The Palestinian keffiyeh (Arabic: كوفية, romanized: kūfiyya) is a distinctly patterned black-and-white keffiyeh. Since the beginning of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, it has become a prominent symbol of Palestinian nationalism, dating back to the 1936–1939 Arab revolt in Palestine.

To see this representation outside wearing this garb and then an interviewee was too much.  My thoughts were that God’s Mercy (on us) is in His silence – because His wrath is being withheld for now, which we deserve.

Not surprised, but both of those persons look like men.

That kind of phrase has been around for a long time.  I remember when it was “Don’t Californicate Oregon.”
