Feminization of society?

I was watching a football game with a friend some years ago, and a defensive lineman knocked Tom Brady down. Well, he reached around the guy who was blocking him and shoved Brady from behind, who then fell down. The referee called roughing the passer. My friend and I both played football in our youth, and we were offended by the destruction of the game we love. I pointed out that football is a game of risk and reward. If you want to send out more receivers and keep fewer guys in to block, then you’re risking your QB getting hurt. It’s the job of the offensive coordinator to protect the QB, not the refs. That’s what makes football interesting.
My friend took a less nuanced approach: “Modern society has become too feminized for football.” That made sense to inebriated me, pretty much. A feminized society avoids risk of all kinds. Okay, I guess. Until later that night, when we watched UFC (Mixed Martial Arts – some call it cage fighting). They had a couple of fights on the card between women. My friend and I didn’t watch these. We feel dirty, watching women get beat up. We returned to the TV after one of the female fights, and the losing fighter looked more than a little roughed up.
I turned to my friend and said, “Okay, Mr. Genius. Our society can’t watch a defensive lineman sack a quarterback because we’re too feminized. But we can watch a woman just get beat to a pulp? While Tom Brady is protected from all possible harm? Because we value women? Could you explain that to me?” Both of us had had too much bourbon to explain anything at that point. But we remained stumped even when we sobered up.

Now, of course, we have moved past protecting football players. We’ve also moved past women beating up other women for our entertainment. We have now moved to The Brave New World of men beating up women for our entertainment.
Why? Because society has become too feminized.
I think. Well, something like that. Perhaps.
What’s going on? Men have become feminized, women have become masculinized, they’re all miserable, sales of psychiatric drugs have exploded, we’re putting tampons in middle school boys’ school bathrooms, the oilfield pipeline welder in the TV ad for pickup trucks is always a black woman, the sports I love have been destroyed for no apparent reason, and I can’t watch TV without feeling sort of odd, like I’ve entered a parallel dimension which is sort of like Earth, but very different as well.
It’s just surreal. The world I live in seems perfectly normal. But the world on TV looks foreign and bizarre. I’m watching American TV channels, and I feel like a pilgrim in a foreign land.
The part that keeps tripping me up is the question: “Why?”
Why is the left doing this? They claim to champion women’s rights. Heck, the left pushed Title 9 through just a few decades ago to protect women’s sports. And now they’re putting men in women’s sports. Why? This doesn’t help women. It doesn’t get them votes from their supporters. Why are they doing this?
If leftists consider men to be evil, then why do they want women to be more like men? What’s with the men beating up women on TV? The trans-sexual fad makes no sense to me. Why? We put a man on the moon the year after I was born. And now we can’t seem to figure out which bathroom to use. What the heck is going on?

Why? Why does the left feel this sexual chaos is so important? Democrat leaders were once normal people who liked centralized control systems. Now they seem like alien life forms. While my friends who are Democrat voters still seem like normal people. Why is the leadership of the Democrat party intentionally making themselves look alien and scary? What possible benefit is there for them in that approach?
Why are they doing this?
This is costing them the support of a lot of people. People who vote Democrat because Dan Rather told them that Republicans are mean. But people who are aware of the existence of reality. People like that. All this sexual chaos is costing Democrats a lot. It must be.
So why are they doing it? How does it help them?
I just don’t understand…

To be a leftist you have to pretend things that are impossible can be achieved and also you have to pretend not to know things .
This is the thinking of all the Democrats I work with . Also , if the ugly truth does seep in like chicks with you know what . They , although they do not approve , convince themselves that it’s not as bad as Trump and it is a fad that will fade . This brings us back to pretending not to know things . Wash , rinse , repeat !
With sports being a half trillion dollar industry, the days of losing stars to tough hits is gone. Football, hockey and even baseball. It you want to watch low talent people beat each other up, you are stick with games from the 70’s.
That said, living it in The Matriarchy worries me. My history book (probably written by men) does not have any examples of a feminized society doing well. Effeminate Western countries are about 10% of the population on the planet and choosing not to have kids. I give it 50 years for this experiment to have run its course. On our epitaph, they can write “Death by Cat Ladies”.
Again, I’m not sure it’s that straightforward.

I’m not sure it’s costing the Democrats anything. They’re putting in the work to register voters who will vote however they tell them to vote. Clever politics to indict Trump so Republicans would feel compelled to support him even though he was our worst option electorally, and they switched out Biden close enough to the election that they may get a lot of those voters who hated the two old men option forced on us. And if the Democrats win this time, they may change the courts. So, again, there may be no cost at all.
I don’t know much about football. Don’t care much about it either, but I hear it discussed in the background when the sports news is on the radio. From what I’ve absorbed over the years, there are 32 starting QBs in the league and one third of them are marginally competent at the job. I’d guess that means that playing that position in the NFL is the hardest job in all of sports. You have a decent supporting cast and prime-time Tom Brady and you’re a winning team with a shot at going deep in the playoffs. Take Brady out due to serious injury and suddenly you’re a break even team that might miss post-season. Probably the same could be said about four or five other “franchise quarterbacks”. Also, the fans pay to see spectacular plays that evidently only top-tier quarterbacks can deliver. To me, that explains why quarterbacks are protected.
As to why women like to beat each other up and why anyone will pay to watch, well, I’m as confused on that subject as you apparently are.
It’s not feminine, but it is feminism, which basically wants to erase the differences between the sexes. This requires feminizing men and masculinizing women.
I’m sadly entertained by TERFs. Radical feminists have claimed for decades that there’s no inherent difference between men and women. The trans foolishness is a logical result of this idiocy. To see feminists now railing against what their own movement produced is priceless.
Ultimately, I think it’s all demonic, in the literal sense.
Demons. I mean that quite seriously.

Fundamentally we are getting the society that our woman want. It is what they vote for.
I think many progressives are narcissistic exhibitionists, who compete for the most outlandish, extreme positions because they want to be “edgy.” They do it for the attention.
And they don’t have anything really important to do with their time.
Yeah, that’s my top question during these times. Why? Related questions are their support for societies in the Arab and Persian world that would kill them for their political beliefs in those countries, not to mention some of their lifestyles.
I look at how easy it seems to manipulate voters and crowds in the United States and I only feel contempt.
I can understand the football part of your post – it involves a lot of money and one needs to protect the person who is instrumental in generating all that money.
As for the part I quoted; I can only chalk this up to a Godless society. Just as Satan renounced God, so does the Left renounce “male and female He created them”. The Left want to be their own gods. It is evil.

The West in general, and the United States in particular, have entered a post-Judeo-Christian era. It has turned away from The Most High God. As a result, God has withdrawn from us and allowed the ancient “gods” (in reality demons) to return. The influence of these ancient “gods,” known in pre-Christian times as Baal, Moloch (or Malek), and Astarte (or Ashera) is causing all that the good @drbastiat notes in his post.
Naomi Wolf expands on this in her (rather long) essay at the Brownstone Institute titled, “Have the Ancient Gods Returned?” It is well worth the time it takes to read it.
One thing to remember, though, is that no matter how much the left/feminism/feminazis push this stuff, people really aren’t watching it. There are reasons why the WNBA etc are actually paid for by the NBA. The WNBA players and others complain about how the WNBA women aren’t paid as much as the NBA men, but the fact is that if the WNBA women were being “paid” according to the revenue generated, THEY would owe the TEAMS millions for being allowed to play.

Hannah Arendt has discussed at length how the establishment of totalitarianism relies heavily on using confusion to bring about a change from an ordered prosperous healthy society into one that has none of those qualities.
The confusion that thinking people now have about “how can the Left state that men are evil while also positing that women should be men?” is the result not of a glitch but a feature.

I have friends, decent people , who are democrats and democrat voters. The only way I can explain it is that they are truly not paying attention.
I like it. Much less brutal than boxing. I’m from rural Ohio, so I love wrestling – very high level wrestling. Nobody gets hurt. Complex. Lots of fun.
For me, at least.
But you wonder what would happen if a guy threw a hard cross at a wrestling match. MMA answers that question. Brutal though it be.

Leftists believe that anything that exists is the problem. Once they get rid of of what exists, it won’t bother them anymore. Getting rid of capitalism will stop people being greedy. Once they get rid of femininity and masculinity men and women (though there won’t be men and women) will get along in perfect harmony. Once we get rid of nations and the idea of national patriotism, there will be no war.
We will all be Borg. Everyone is the same. Everyone is equal and there is total harmony.
The leftists ignore the reality that men and women are not the same and that various cultures are not the same.
If we pretend that everyone is the same than everything will be OK. That is what the hard left believes.
That, and if people didn’t exist at all, Earth would be peaceful.
But the days of losing stars to tough hits isn’t gone in either football or hockey. Even with the money and new rules, it still happens very often because both sports are inherently violent.
Maher sometimes makes – or at least made, in the past – some good points, and his audience whoops and hollers and then they all – including Maher – go back to voting for Democrats.

Once people begin to understand that the entire false flag “insurrection event of Jan 6th 2021” was of a similar nature, with so many hundreds of Americans arrested for kerfluffles such as walking through the US Capital Building for a full ten minutes, the idea that ours is the America that we all grew up in is over.

Those who count the vote determine the elections. That ability has been allowed to sit with Symantec and Dominion electronic machinery, while other nations prohibit anything but a hand count of the vote.
The DOJ, the FBI, the judicial system on all levels, the FDA, the CDC, the media and the militarized American police are all turned against us.
Congress is controlled by a foreign nation. (Thomas Massie is the only Republican in the US House who does not have an AIPAC handler.) Given how the ADL has led a campaign to see to it that the First Amendment is tossed into the toilet in various states such as New York for anyone critical of any policy, no matter how small, that is considered to be related to a “Jewish concern,” this potentially makes thinking out loud a hate crime in those places. There will soon be a successful effort to make sure such a “hate speech” law is a national one.
Occasionally an independent minded and elected Sheriff stands with the Constitution, but that is about it.
Arendt assessed her situation and fled her country illegally. But she got out and that is what matters. She also had places she could go off to.
But it must be asked: with most of all our Western societies facing the same problems our nation is facing, where would we turn to for asylum?
Ballot harvesting is getting votes from people that are disinterested and unmotivated. It’s disgusting.
My brother-in-law leads a conservative, productive lifestyle, and is as smart as you can be. Rabid Democrat. He finally dropped the bomb on me that he doesn’t know anything about public policy and he’s not talking about it anymore. He likes government force, and he’s not going to talk about it. I wasted him every single time we talk about public policy. Basically, all he wants to talk about is scandals. He also has a very low-informed view of the justice system. I’ve had to learn a lot more about it than I think a citizen should need to, but with all of this Trump and J6 stuff it’s impossible to ignore. TheDOJ, and many of the prosecutors are disgusting people. They aren’t doing what they are supposed to do.
