Covidiocy

I never thought it would be in the news again. Weren’t we over that three years ago? I planned a small dinner party for this Friday night to share a moment of thankfulness and celebration for Hungarian friends who have lived here since 1986 and have decided to move back to Budapest. After making this decision, they wisely chose to maintain a small home here and move back and forth depending on a variety of personal factors related to their family in Hungary and here in the US. So this will not be the last time we see them.

The one couple we most wanted to share this celebration with called today to say that they could not attend because they had tested positive for Covid after going to a wedding in NYC last weekend. I believe they had cold symptoms and fatigue and taken every dose of the original vaccine and each booster since Covid started. Just like Joe Biden. This was their third bout.

Anecdote is not evidence, but I was stunned that they even were able to test themselves for Covid. I had saved a few tests to display on the Christmas tree along with some masks, but Mrs. Pessimist threw them out a long time ago.

I thought Covidiocy was over.

I’m with you. Will people “test” themselves forever? And i still see people wearing masks in supermarkets. And their children.

Were I not to feel well, it wouldn’t even occur to me to test for Covid. I’d do what I do whenever I get sick: get some rest and avoid people. Depending on symptoms, I might start some zinc, Quercetin, etc.

I suspect that the next most lucrative market in healthcare will be home testing for every possible ailment whether or not there is any practical treatment available. Fear is the most powerful emotion that drug companies can channel.

I don’t know if they self tested or went to their doctor for a test but if they went to their doctor I am sure they are being treated with paxlovid again instead of ivermectin. That is what happened the first two times they got sick.

My new women’s group usually has about 45 members show up for a monthly luncheon.

In May, 2/3rds of the group had recovered from recent COVID infections.

There is a  scientific explanation for the phenomena of getting a corona virus after receiving a corona virus vaccine. That  is called “antibody dependent entrancement.”

Corona viruses mutate. That happens regardless if they are the regular old common flu or COVID itself.

The corona virus vaccine entrains a person’s immune system to look for one and only one variation of that virus. So if the original corona virus vaccine was to ward off the original strain of COVID, then once the virus mutated, the vaxxed person’s immune system cannot identify that new strain as being a problem. So it doesn’t set off the cascade of effects that would prevent the new strain from taking over and causing the person to be infected.

Also I discovered this: Most of these women are Democrats, as I found out when one woman discussed a recent visit to Washington DC.

“As I was out sightseeing for the day, Air Force One flew overhead. I almost dropped to my knees in gratitude that our wonderful president was holding his own in that office.” Some of the women hearing this applauded. (We are per our charter not supposed to discuss politics, but I guess there are exceptions if you are  reporting religious experiences!)

Anyway almost these people have been jabbed to the hilt.

As I have gotten to know people, a common thread of conversation  regards how many have lost husbands or best friends over the last 3 years. I guess among the older women like myself that might not be a cause for concern that some effect of a vaccine took place. After all, if a women lives to be in her mid-seventies, then the older spouse does have a statistically better chance of dropping dead.

But tragically women in their forties and fifties also  seem to have become widows after  quite a few “he died suddenly” experiences.

Big pharma and their shills at our hospitals and clinics are not going to let their patrons get gypped as far as profits go.

My totally conventional landlords, who until recently were ardent believers in everything they heard on the TV regarding COVID, got the shots and then got COVID.

They then were given the paxlovid or whatever it is. Both said that it made not a bit of difference in their bout with their infections. (Which thankfully were mild to begin with.)

They could still go to the party, if they are just a little sore.  And I can see that they don’t want to give their friends covid.  But they could wear masks.

They could wear three masks.  That works.

Each mask cuts the odds of getting covid by 30%. I recommend four masks (they stack very nicely) which reduces your risk to -10%.

As I recall the CDC isn’t requiring people to isolate for covid anymore.

So, covid is over, but idiocy isn’t. Even covid-related idiocy.

Maybe the CDC finally realized the most devout  COVID followers tend to vote Democratic.

So now that the PTB have declared open season on Republicans, they can scale  back  the COVID lunacy.

When I first read about Joey having COVID, they said he was asymptomatic but had a slight runny nose and a dry cough. The PTB in the Democrat party are still using COVID-porn to try to frighten people. They will either use this as an excuse to dump Biden or use it to say how virile and energetic he is because he defeated the deadly COVID. Pathetic.

When people mention that they’ve had Covid I too wonder, how do they know? Who tests for Covid, and why? Are they planning a treatment regimen different from the treatment they’d give themselves for any of the many other respiratory viruses in the air?

As most of y’all no doubt have heard or read, Joy Reid (with Jen Psaki in attendance) on MSNBC equated the presumed eventual recovery by Joe Biden from covid with Donald Trump’s response to getting shot.

Sadly, I believe there are still some physicians who prescribe paxlovid even though it was little better than remdesovir which the nurses called Run, death is near.

It seems odd that they would have even tested President Biden for Covid, which is why I’m suspicious that the diagnosis is covering for something else. Either get him out of the public eye for a while to let the gaffes die down (I guess the messy BET interview had already been recorded), or start the prelude for getting him to agree to be sidelined (though who is paying off Jill, Hunter, and the other dependent family members, and how much?).

Peter Schweizer has done heroic work in exposing the corruption in Washington. I don’t know if he has run the numbers on how much Fauci and his wife made on the worthless drug remdesovir but I believe it is substantial.

To a lot of people, “having covid” is a badge of honor. Especially if they manage to survive, when it wasn’t covid to begin with.

Have them come anyway. Just put six-foot markers on the living room floor.  Make the healthy wear masks (if they really worked wouldn’t that make more sense as a preventative?)  Hang some acrylic panels between dining room chairs.  You may put bananas and peaches in decorative bowls (the virus only survives a few hours or less on fruits) but no cucumbers –cukes can host viable viruses on the surface for 24 hours or more.  In deer hunting season, bring test kits because 50% of white-tailed deer tested positive for COVID-19 at the pandemic peak.  If you visit a bar or restaurant, leave before 8:30 PM because you may live in a state where viral transmission only takes place during later hours.  In any event, follow #TheScienceTM

Am I the only person who never got Covid? I didn’t change my lifestyle at all to the extent that was legally possible. There were some weeks when I couldn’t go to bars and restaurants but that was about it. Mind you I had 5 shots, and I do believe they were effective at least for some period of time. Remember they used to say some percentage of the infected had no symptoms. Perhaps I was one of them?

    @ekosj

That is exactly how I thought of Ekosj’s reply. That your method and my method of remaining healthy  and the method of all the others who refused to believe nonsense are according to the Ekosj’s of the world the cause of what is actually the result of vaccination. That result has a name: “antibody dependent enhancement.”

The modern day vaccine theory, a theory which since 1963 has been bastardized, mutilated and mutated, involves a stupid theory that those who do not take a product somehow mysteriously cause the illnesses and infection rate of those who take that same product. (And on top of that, this product’s very existence came about because it  supposedly would prevent the very infection they accuse the un-vaxxed of spreading.)

I doubt I could find it without spending 90 minutes, but I loved the graphic circa 2021 that showed a person wearing a seatbelt while out hiking so that other people would not be hurt if they crashed their cars. That sums up the nonsensical view of 40% of the population.

Don’t think so. The regional “seasonality” pattern Hope-Simpson noticed in past respiratory epidemics (reaffirmed in spades with COVID) caused him to conclude that sick-to-healthy transmission can’t be the main vector.  It is not that you can’t get the virus from someone actively shedding but that the identical curves and exact simultaneity in entire regions (Western Europe and NE US in March and April; southern tier of US in July-August; US Midwest in mid November) means the damn bug can be dormant and gets around well before externals make favorable conditions for symptomatic outbreaks. There is zero difference in outcomes between aggressively interventionist jurisdictions and others which were not. I don’t advocate sick people coming to the office but not doing so is probably not as significant preventative action as we might hope.
