George Gilder on the Collapse
George Gilder:
If the family collapses, it will take a welfare state to take care of the women and children, and a police state to handle the boys.
(This quotation, as it happens, comes from a recent episode of Uncommon Knowledge. With a tip of the hat to Mr. S.)
Already the police state cannot handle the boys who have become heartless criminals. There is a disturbing video going (or already gone) viral that shows a NJ mother literally getting her teeth punched-in by a cold blooded animal.
The Soviets already learned the hard way that the state is not an acceptable replacement for the family. I’m afraid that we already have a predator class right here in the US of A. Buckle your seat belts. This is going to get bumpy.
In one sentence, Mr. Gilder was able to capture the pernicious impact of the family breakdown. This should be tattooed on every Rublican candidates forehead.
Careful. You might be thought anti-woman. People might think you want a return to the traditional family. Even conservative women don’t want that.
This, of course, is the objective, since the state will do such a superior job.
Spectacular quote, but it sounds familiar. Before I go around repeating it in a slightly condescending tone, I want to make sure I know where it came from. Is it an original?
Indeed – it takes a village to raise a child. Oh, wait – who said that? Ah, yes, the next President.
I could be wrong, but I think Mr. Gilder has been saying this for years.
I would not be surprised if it is original to him and written in one of his books from the past few decades.
