The Benevolent Universe Redux

Yesterday, I called your attention to the impromptu ovation that John McCain received when he — in an act of conspicuous Freudianism — accidentally walked into a meeting of Democrats on Capitol Hill. As I said then, “sometimes the universe just gives you these things.” I now present for you Exhibit B for that principle, courtesy of Jeryl Bier at the Weekly Standard’s blog:

Thursday morning, the White House announced a new website to answer questions from businesses about Obamacare.  Valerie Jarrett wrote about the launch in a blog post titled, “A One-Stop-Shop on the Health Care Law for Businesses Big and Small.” However, within two hours, the website had crashed …

Metaphorical value: priceless.

I’m glad the chart is simple and easy to read, like a Hapsburg or Julio-Claudian family tree. Why isn’t everything in life so straightforward?

I don’t think it’s a chart, Drusus, I believe that’s the microchip they will implant in the back of everyone’s neck.

So the Republican plan is to let this be put into place, and then wait for everyone to come to their senses and it will all just go away?

That is sooo going to work.

I know I am fantasizing when I suggest that the midterm elections really could solve this insane mess…  but is it ok to hope?

clownparade.jpgJust because the website crashed doesn’t prove that their stewardship of healthcare is in jeopardy. Doesn’t prove anything. Nope.

also… benevolence would be if Obamacare itself crashed and burned.  But this does show a good sense of humor.

    It was sabotaged by Republicans.

Obviously much more taxpayer money has to be poured into the Website, Mr. Doubting Thomas.
