Quote of the Day from My Great-Grandfather’s Sermon Notes: Abraham and Lot
This is a snapshot from my great-grandfather’s sermon notes. These are lessons from the lives of Abraham and Lot.
” ‘When in Rome do as Rome Does’,” he quotes from the saying. And ” ‘When in Sodom act like Sodomites’,” he adds, giving voice to what many have no doubt thought.
We have to choose between “The Mighty call of Flesh” and “the Mightier call of Faith.” “Faith worketh . . .,” says Pastor Boone, speaking now for himself, but “. . . Lust Killeth.”
Maybe someone should warn Hollywood. But that lust is all over America too. “When in Rome” is a bad idea sometimes. Now is one of those times.

Followed by “If so, perish in corruption. Must not compromise“, if I am reading correctly. Good word.
Yes, I believe that’s right.
Amen.
My prayer:
just as Sodom was destroyed with fire and brimstone raining down from heaven, so may Gaza be destroyed with incendiary ordnance raining down from F-16’s.
