When Officials Cannot or Will Not Maintain Order, The People Must. Will They?

We in America are not yet confronted with an active pogrom such as that occurring in Dagestan on Sunday.  Yet we have been shown recently that we are nowhere near as far from it as we would like to have thought.  This same weekend, Jews barricaded themselves inside the library at a US university while an angry mob hurled itself against the library doors, seeking to force entry, and then what?  Disagree?  Were those American college students going to hold a debate with the Jews in the library?  So we’re not so far from pogroms.  Check back in a week.

Our (American) violent, entitled, illiterate, and hostile indoctrinated underclass is a ticking bomb.  The Marxist Democrats have been building this bomb for decades.  Anti-Marxists such as Republicans and conservatives, even some libertarians, have been warning for decades that wicked policy decisions such as open borders, multi-culturalism, and defunding police will bring inexorable pressure, leading to inevitable results.  Well, we are seeing the results emerge.

I would like to specifically address the supposed peace and security that exists currently.  In this country, we have a history of largely peaceful, orderly transfers of power, and security in our persons and things, at home and as we go about our business.  These are all increasingly just pleasant memories which now obscure and perfume a very different reality.  I won’t try to convince anybody with studies or anecdotes, shocking videos or terrifying tales.  That’s all been done, and if you don’t catch it by now, well, I don’t know what to say.  I’ll just offer this as a conjecture, which I believe in, and which I invite you to adopt.

The United States is already in a modified “Without Rule of Law” (mod-WROL) condition, and it is beyond time to prepare.

The rule of law has not collapsed, but it is collapsing.  It is now time to execute the first mod-WROL steps you can identify (or have handy).  You can find all sorts of raving lunatics discussing  WROL, SHTF (you-know-what hits the fan), and the end of the world, online.  There’s a certain in-group, snooty more-prepared-than-thou stink to a lot of it, but the information is still valid.  Don’t get put off by Colonel Allready’s 97-point, five year plan for getting ready.  Pick your way through all the shill ads for gold and underground bunkers, and there’s a lot of valuable information — take from it what you can, and make notes for later.

The Soviet Union did not collapse gradually, but all at once.  The sudden collapse was preceded by years of rapidly worsening conditions but amid a seeming stasis so complete that statistically speaking, nobody saw it coming.  When collapse came, the people were fairly united in their desire to get out from under the oppressive government.  When the US collapse enters its fast phase, “we” are not at all united in anything, and it is this country, not the USSR, which may go down in a horrific war of race,  culture, and religion.  An alarmingly large portion of the population thinks that it needs to get out from under Whitey, because this is what has been taught in our school by Marxists for decades.  On the one hand, will be the designated Emmannuel Goldsteins of the next disorder; the Jews and Christians, Whites and Asians, along with anybody happy and successful who doesn’t kiss the mob’s Marxist sandals.  Right now, things are deceptively calm, but security in the rule of law is a Potemkin thing for us.  Once the bad guys poke it hard enough that it falls over, the next line of defense will be you.

There’s much more to say (and certainly to do), but I want to hold this post to the singular point that the United States no longer has a grip on security — and the law no longer rules.  Sure, the tyrannical government can put you away (more now than ever!), but this does not improve things.  We are right now at a cusp wherein illiterate, mal-adapted masses are realizing that they are all angry at the same time, and that the powers that be are unwilling or unable to stop them.  Moments such as this produce Pulitzer photos for the next century’s history books.  Fat Archduke.  Pearl Harbor.  Napalm girl.  Twin Towers.  Think of Congressman Steve Scalise being shot by a socialist now rather than 20 years ago.

You may be forgiven for thinking that at least a good civil war would slow up the invasion across our southern welcome mat.  I don’t think so — once the jig is up, those who are most comfortable without rule of law will certainly take advantage of the situation.

I suddenly remember that some 20 years ago, I was fond of saying that some day, the salient question will be, “Do you have friends in the hills?”

And Joe Biden’s numbers are tanking among Democrats because. . . ? He says he supports Israel.

There are so many things FJB has done wrong, there’s no need to assume that his popularity is dropping because he (supposedly, at least from one side of his mouth) supports Israel.  His popularity was already way down before the 7th.

(I’ve actually checked off all the way thru Step 115 but that first one is rather critical.)

BTW, here in north Tx our version of the friends in the hills question is: Do you have friends in Parker County? (I suspect it has something to do with the number of rounds per square foot… but I could be wrong.)

I saw that thread. I will not be surprised if those are fake. I will not be surprised if those are true. Fake, because those crazy campus kids will fake stuff to Raise Consciousness, and because the phrasing is a bit too on-the-nose. True, because the people who mean this stuff are usually this blunt and dumb.

The Dagestan situation, on the other hand – my God. But I guess that’s what the Jews deserve, colonizing that airport terminal and all. Probably doing some organ harvesting in the El AL VIP lounge.

US schools have a lot of foreign students, those students – many/most of them, at least – may not have been actual Americans.

Although some of them probably were, and that would be inexcusable.

Pogoms are a horrendous activity that I imagine most of us here in America had believed were buried deep inside past decades of history.

Of course, most of us in America weren’t that worried about a nuclear World War III very much either.

I guess we have managed to stumble right out of one “New Catastrophic Normal” right into another one, worse than other  nightmares could entail.

Don’t know if this is what you’re getting at.  In my view, the biggest preparation idea came from (I think his name was) Selco.  He said (the gist) when society crumbles you can’t trust anybody.  Without law and civility, you will do barbaric things that you never thought you’d do.  And you won’t like it.  But if you don’t you won’t survive.

But Selco survived a collapse in Easter Europe.  The US has a different cultural consciousness.

Maybe this is appropriate for this post, maybe not.

We already had de-facto pogroms in 2020, all that’s standing in the way of a new wave with more ‘traditional’ targets is the perceived interests or goals of the progressive oligarchy that supported the BLM/Antifa riots.

Our “modern” era has indeed been remarkable for its relative peacefulness. We’ve lived in a time and place believing we are all around exceptional. It seems to me though that we are turning out to be in the 1 (or more) steps back phase of  the civilization cycle. It’s very hard to believe a described reality that differs from what we currently live day to day, until that other reality reaches us. I wish more of our citizens took the threats to us at face value. Our enemies really do mean us dead and many of them are fellow citizens.

I think it is the reality most don’t want to confront. Maybe the most important item Selco repeats is: do not be alone and do not be surprised.  The other truth I believe in is that those who accept a new situation are most likely to survive it if it’s a bad one. Accept the situation, assess next steps and act right away on your own behalf. Don’t dawdle and think and hope it might turn out better. Act.

The American establishment is vastly more concerned about normals fighting crime than they are about criminals attacking normals.  Recall that in 1984, a year when the NYC annual murder count was 1,400 (on its way to over 2,000 in 1990) the Manhattan district of attorney (Robert Morgenthau) personally handled the prosecution of Bernie Goetz for shooting “youths” who threatened him on the subway and convened a second grand jury when the first one was apparently sympathetic to Goetz.  Nebbishy Bernie Goetz was deemed to be a greater threat than the gangs and hoodlums committing thousands of violent crimes.

Recall the NYC bodega proprietor who fought off a violent attacker was initially charged before the public outcry forced prosecutors to drop the charges.

A driver who continues through a crowd trying to injure him is still more likely to be charged than those attacking.

It is less about whether the established powers endorse the fruits of bad policy and perverse ideologies but about preserving the power to deny the normals the right to fight back.

Too many people don’t realize that poverty is the default position and civilization is a thin veneer we cover it up with. A lot in that group are busy kicking out legs/sawing off the branch they are sitting on/metaphor of your choice and think they can continue with new enlightenment although the foundation civilization is built on is gone.

Nope. Our remaining NH advantages it seems are cold, a lot of unbuildable wetlands,  and not too many cities, altho the cities are getting full. The state is decidedly secular and blue politically and socially. I expect a Dem governor and income taxes to follow shortly, but no drop in property taxes.
