Brief hit. Here’s a clip on Twitter with some editorializing on McCarthy not releasing all the J6 tapes — which he did agree to. A thought of mine before and after. What do you want to bet that the Trump supporters in ballcaps and streetclothes who oppose the window-breaking are in more trouble than the helmet-wearing “Trump supporters” who are intent on breaking windows?
FLASHBACK: Video emerges showing TRUMP SUPPORTERS attempting to stop people from breaking windows at the Capitol, Offering conflicting evidence to the narrative.
McCarthy agreed to release all this footage.
HE LIED, this is why he’s gone.

Note how nobody with the power actually seems interested in releasing all of the video. In my mind’s eye, I see a newly powerful person being given a briefing so shocking that to release the whole thing would prove a government set-up from the start, and the newly powerful person comes to the same conclusion as those before — “we cannot release the video, and we cannot say why.” The people would toss the whole damned government out.
I have little option other than to believe that seeing enough of the video will just show a smoking gun to an already dissatisfied public. The shameful J6 committee and so forth were able to gather a great deal of material, much of which has been destroyed, I recall reading somewhere. This would fit the time-honored pattern that the investigation is the cover-up.
The clip above shows a small part of a story that I would like to know a lot more about.Published in
