Quote of the Day from My Great-Grandfather’s Sermon Notes: Streams in the Desert
This is a snapshot from my great-grandfather’s sermon notes. (Intro here.)
This sermon is about “Streams from the rock.” There is a discussion of “Streams of God’s grace in [the] desert of sin and waste.” Pastor Boone finds Jesus in the Old Testament, of course. “Christ Rock upon which to Build.” “Christ the Refuge from the Storms.” “Christ the Smitten Rock opened.”
The Genesis 17 reference looks like an aside. The sermon is probably on Exodus 17 and 1 Corinthians 10.
Note the pairing of “Making God our Father” and “Making men Brothers.” Something heavenly has an earthly application. Heaven itself is anticipated now: “Streams of Life–Eternal Life” are “For Refreshing now.”

I can’t read it. Are you able to transcribe it?
Maybe. It would take a few minutes, and I have few enough of those.
Maybe later from a proper desktop if circumstances align.
