Well, That Was Interesting

I live in western Washington state, a state completely dominated by the high population centers of several adjacent  counties which always go for the Democrats —  just look at Gov. Inslee (aka “Dimslee”) serving three terms — in a suburb that has overwhelmingly supported Democrats over the years.

My local legislators are all Dems, and the past few elections saw Democrats sweep our area in state and federal races.

So I was somewhat stunned today at my local grocery store to find, parked next to me, a red Prius with a “Trump 2024: Save America Again” sticker in its rear window.

Hope springs eternal.

I suspect that Prius has been keyed by now.

Interesting. Unfortunately his/her vote will only offset one of the 37 mail-in ballots submitted under the names of the previous occupants of his current residence.

But your title did make me smile…a direct quote from Stripes (1981) but this is a family friendly site so I will leave it at that.

Philo is right. Same in San Francisco.  Looks the folks in Oakland may be waking up and want to cashier a Soros prosecutor. But we did that in  San Fran and the property crime rates are not going down. Maybe the Coast Guard can drive away the Oakland Bay pirates.  Cal. , Oregon and Washington looks like they are all headed for the sewer until it has too few folks to tax.  Hope it happens soon.

To make up for that, they’ll just tax everyone else.

    Wait for it…

    That is interesting!

On another note, I live in (as we call her) Pamela Payapal’s district; before her it was Jim McDermott.  I have never been represented in Congress.

The owner of the red Prius will probably be arrested after the next election for daring to express doubt that Biden actually doubled his vote total that time around.

Oh, yeah, “Baghdad Jim” McDermott was a real piece of work. We had years with former sheriff Dave Reichert, a moderate Republican which is pretty far right for this district; but then we got Kim Schrier, a baby doctor who’s all in for abortions.  Makes me crazy.

Reminds me of that lyric from a Don Henly song  – “boys of summer’ –

    — I saw a deadhead sticker on a cadillac
