Just a Reminder Who’s in Charge Around Here

This clip is not proof, but it is illustrative, and brilliantly so.

Obama is the first President not to have scuttled out of DC shortly after having become an ex-President. There’s a reason for that. That’s the meat — here are some potatoes to complement the picture, from Angelo Codevilla’s The Ruling Class:

Professional prominence or position will not secure a place in the class any more than mere money. In fact, it is possible to be an official of a major corporation or a member of the U.S. Supreme Court (just ask Justice Clarence Thomas), or even president (Ronald Reagan), and not be taken seriously by the ruling class. Like a fraternity, this class requires above all comity — being in with the right people, giving the required signs that one is on the right side, and joining in despising the Outs. Once an official or professional shows that he shares the manners, the tastes, the interests of the class, gives lip service to its ideals and shibboleths, and is willing to accommodate the interests of its senior members, he can move profitably among our establishment’s parts.

If, for example, you are Laurence Tribe in 1984, Harvard professor of law, leftist pillar of the establishment, you can “write” your magnum opus by using the products of your student assistant, Ron Klain. A decade later, after Klain admits to having written some parts of the book, and the other parts are found to be verbatim or paraphrases of a book published in 1974, you can claim (perhaps correctly) that your plagiarism was “inadvertent,” and you can count on the Law School’s dean, Elena Kagan, to appoint a committee including former and future Harvard president Derek Bok that issues a secret report that “closes” the incident. Incidentally, Kagan ends up a justice of the Supreme Court. Not one of these people did their jobs: the professor did not write the book himself, the assistant plagiarized instead of researching, the dean and the committee did not hold the professor accountable, and all ended up rewarded. By contrast, for example, learned papers and distinguished careers in climatology at MIT (Richard Lindzen) or UVA (S. Fred Singer) are not enough for their questions about “global warming” to be taken seriously. For our ruling class, identity always trumps.  [emphasis added – bdb]

This is not a smoking gun to back up the claim that Obama-people still run a shadow government wearing Biden-people as skinsuits. Instead, it is a reminder, complementary to the reminder video clip above, that when you’re in the club, you’re in the club, and when you’re not — you’re not. But man, oh man, when you’re in!

Obama was objectively smarter than the permanent DC fixture “Slow Joe.” Joe has vicious instincts, apparently honed in a monstrously dysfunctional crime family. Obama may fuddle his own speech when he lies, but he’s intelligent. Smart enough to be pliable, to carry out the will of his handlers, not his own. Obama takes third-party money and builds an army in the streets. Joe takes third-party money and buys Corvettes. Hifalutin’ trailer trash vs. Stalinism — Obama wins.

Joe was finally propelled into the Oval Office only when he was no longer a threat. Easily handled, and after the Obama-era construction of a fully functioning, thank-you-very-much, election-proof powerklatura. Susan Rice and Ron Klain (who?) were the coordinators of Obama-clique policy through listless Biden vessels.

    It’s not a smoking gun.

It’s them telling you straight out.

I mean, could they make it any clearer?

Of course even the man this OP suggests is the guy in charge is not really in charge.

If he ever ever has  a change in conscience and blurts out in the middle of some interview: “I totally regret my crime of appointing Tim Geithner as US Secretary of The Treasury.

“That man lead the US economy into being one  enabling billionaires to trade banks with each other. Meanwhile the middle class who  had voted for me was foreclosed upon,  and ended up sleeping on relatives’ couches or in tents on empty land.

“Geithner’s  policies cost the nation 23 to 34 trillions of dollars, much of which were assets pulled out from under normal middle class households, while other amounts will be part of our national debt for decades to come.”

Within days of these comments, Barack would face a Dealey Plaza moment, you can beat your last dollar on that.

Joe might have been given the Oval Office even if he had not become a full blown dementia patient. The PTB hold a lot of sway over people whose lives have consisted of one scandalous affair after another.

I have the belief that for the most part, people who become candidates for major public offices always have some skeleton or another in their closet such that a whispered suggestion of “We need you to do this for us, Mr Senator (or Mr President,)  and of course, otherwise…”

(Quibble: I don’t think the OP actually suggested that Obama was in charge.)

Certainly, Obama was the handsome charismatic showman (with mad teleprompter skillz) while a cabal of Dem party operatives were making all the decisions.

And it’s a great deal; Obama gets the notoriety and the Dem party gets complete control and graft.  A win-win.  (Except for the country.)

And it worked so well that they repeated it with Biden. (Though stripped down a little, make up the difference with propaganda.)

I admit that Obama had a pleasant, well-modulated baritone voice, but the way he swung his head back and forth, presumably from one tele-prompter to another, when speaking reminded me of those bobble-head dogs one could see the back of a Chevy Belair in the early 1960s.

It was intended to be hypnotic.

The rhythm was all worked out to maximize the hypnotic effect; the cadence of the writing, the speed it went through the teleprompter, and Obama’s head going back and forth.

I said it as soon as Obama selected him as a VP candidate, the Biden was Obama’s bullet-proof vest. No one was going to take out Obama and leave Joe Biden in charge. Biden did the same thing in choosing Kamala. There was no respect in either case, and now that Obama is no longer in a position where he could be in danger he treats Joe exactly the way he feels about him.

The video is awful. Not because I have the slightest bit of sympathy for the deluded, deranged old man, just two years older than me, wandering around in a total fog or trying to get the attention of his former colleague who is studiously ignoring him and enjoying the adulation of the crowd who should be directing their attention to the President. What is awful about it is that that President is a toothless buffoon completely addled and unfit for the office he holds. The sycophants surrounding Obama may well be members of Biden’s administration, and, even if they do not take their orders from Obama, they continue to do what they know he would want them to, because the man currently heading the administration is completely unfit to do the job. In short, Obama doesn’t need to pull strings. He set the wheel in motion, and until someone else with some sentience takes over, his directions will continue to run the administration. Biden isn’t a puppet. He is a manikin, a place holder, a dildo.

Does anyone remember when Obama was the favorite and Hilary whisked him off to the Bilderberg meeting that was being held in Virginia that year? Not even secret service was alerted – no one knew where they went and then they just turned up again later…………..there you go.  He was the pick of the globalist cabal – he had zero experience in anything – never generated a paycheck or ran a company, was never in government, no foreign policy experience, no nothing. A community organizer who was under the tutelage of Saul Alinsky – the same Saul that Hilary happened to do her thesis on while at Wellesley College.  By the way, Saul dedicated his famous book to the devil……..nice huh?

I literally spent the 8 long years of the Obama administration avoiding audio visual media of the man. I detested the voice, the jutting chin, cadence and swivel. His policies hurt the country, but I chose not to watch. It was good I had Ricochet!  I also believe his cronies are currently running the show. That video clip says it all.
