Explaining Where We Are

I was processing through two original posts tonight and made comments on both.

I made this comment…

Sundance at CTH has an explanation of why Governor Kemp and Secretary of State Raffensberger have not lifted a finger to assist Trump in dealing with what is going on now in Fulton County even though both know full well that is the main source of any election issues in Georgia and there are plenty.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2023/08/15/understanding-why-georgia-republican-governor-brian-kemp-supports-corrupt-fulton-county-da-fani-willis/

…on this OP: Newt Gingrich Weighs in on The Georgia Indictment of Donald Trump & 18 Other Individuals

Also, I made this comment:

You got it right. The conservatism espoused by the GOPe, those who have chosen to renounce Trump as the Party leader and oppose his renomination, has no empathy for the working class.

…on this OP: Have Conservatives Lost Whatever Empathy They Have?

I think between the two OPs and by going to the CTH link provided, one can get a good sense of what has created the contemporaneous issues and actions that have created the great divide in our society today.

Both these OPs have interesting developing conversations, and I think really do provide a comprehensive picture of where we are today politically.

More and more I’m thinking that Sundance is not the flake I initially thought he was.

I actually got a little anxious about getting too caught up in his adamant stance supporting Trump when some donors began soliciting DeSantis. Now, with this all out unwarranted attack on Trump for questioning the election integrity, my confidence is returning.

I could live very happily without ever hearing of or from Donald Trump. He is probably the most divisive “political” personality since Richard Nixon. In addition, he does not have a platform of policy proposals; it is all about Donald Trump, the obsessively egotistical purveyor of childish personal attacks. As he would say, “NOT GOOD!”

I have been a “Reagan Conservative” since 1960, when Ronald Reagan was still in the movie business.

The great thing about the word ‘divisive’ is how divisive it is.

btw, do you mean ‘Trump actively divides people’, or do you mean, ‘people choose to divide over Trump’?

Or that our government actively divides people over Trump.

Because it’s to the government’s advantage to keep people divided.

Trump was exactly that moderate, middle-of-the-road candidate that everyone claimed to want. There was nothing extremist about anything he did while in office. He wasn’t the wrecking ball many of us hoped he’d be. And he certainly wasn’t the Constitution-destroying monster that the establishment claimed he was.

He just wasn’t part of their little kleptocracy and he threatened their rice bowls. So he had to be turned into Emanuel Goldstein.

This is what is really fascinating about the approach to Trump and that’s how so many people turned. Since Trump was not ideological the kleptocracy(that’s the UniParty and the Bureaucracy) had to make sure he didn’t get overwhelmingly popular with the people.

Lots of people knew how to work this screwed-up and corrupt system. They were afraid he’d expose them. All those NT fools have it backward. For all his irritating quirks Trump was about America. His opponents were all about themselves and their positions at the trough. Well, maybe a small number of his opponents were just misguided.

We will never know how much good Trump could have done toward taming the Establishment, because they began destroying his plans from the moment he was elected. At least, he was able to give us some good judges.

Like so many white blood cells trying to destroy something that might affect the stasis of the organism.
