Target’s Deceptive Transgender Agenda

You probably thought the big story about Target was their selling transgender clothing in the front of their stores. How clueless they were! Didn’t they learn anything from the Bud Light debacle? After the initial kerfuffle, they felt they needed to place the merchandise in a more subtle location; we assumed that they at least got the message that their blatant support for transgenderism was not acceptable to many in their customer base.

We were wrong.

I learned today that Target has been affiliated for years with GLSEN, Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network. GLSEN has co-sponsored Target’s transgender activities, led by Carlos Saavedra, Vice-President of brand marketing at Target—and the treasurer at GLSEN. Target has also provided donations to GLSEN reaching $2.1 million.

So, what’s so insidious about GLSEN? Here are some of their goals:

As part of this mission, GLSEN calls for gender ideology to be integrated into all classes, even math. It provides educators instructions on how they can make math ‘more inclusive of trans and non-binary identities’ by including ‘they/them’ pronouns om word problems.

GLSEN provides sample district policies which restrict parents’ knowledge on their child’s gender transition in schools.

Its policy for districts said, ‘[The local education agency] shall ensure that all personally identifiable and medical information relating to transgender and nonbinary students is kept confidential’

The policy continued, ‘Staff or educators shall not disclose any information that may reveal a student’s gender identity to others, including parents or guardian… This disclosure must be discussed with the student, prior to any action.’

There was also this instruction:

‘When students are creating their own surveys, if they want to include data for biological sex, teachers need to be sure they include both intersex and other as choices and if the students want to include data for gender, a variety of choices need to be included, such as agender, genderfluid, female, male, nonbinary, transman, transwoman, and other.’

If you’d like to visit the GLSEN website, go here.

*     *     *     *     *

If people are prepared to tolerate the propaganda that their employers want to force on them, that’s their choice. But Target apparently believes it has the right to control the education systems, educators, parents, and worst of all, our children.

I think we now know that every corporation that has chosen the woke agenda could be pursuing ways to indoctrinate our children on transgenderism. It seems no matter how we try to be vigilant in protecting our kids, others will search out ways to access them and not only instruct them in this objectionable ideology, but try to divide families and alienate parents from children.

We must remain vigilant and unforgiving.

True. At least he/they were caught out this time. Although I don’t know if it makes any difference.

I hear many conservatives say things like, “if you are an adult, you can do whatever you want, but leave the kids alone.”   I can’t go that far.   I like to think that we have laws *and* norms.   While I do not think there should not be laws against transvestitism at home, I think it is abnormal in public and should be treated as such.  Let’s bring back the idea of being couth in public and keeping the kink stuff in private.

Works for me! That means being consistent in how a person presents himself, at home or away.

Do these people not realize that Soros doesn’t have enough money to keep all of their businesses going even if he gave it all to them, which he wouldn’t?

I suppose they don’t care though, as long as he pays THEM off.

I wonder if parents know that their schools might be incorporating the GLSEN curriculum?

I can attest that they do not – and they often  seem not to think much of it when informed. Most parents do not look at the curriculum schools use in any subject, much less sex Ed or Social emotional learning. (And the District admin really doesn’t want them to ask to see it.) GLSEN provides all manner of materials to schools and clubs. They are the underpinnings of the gay student associations that high schools sponsor and the local gay “clubs” that have something like Outright in their name. They partner with Planned Parenthood in developing sex ed curricula.  I learned they’ve been at it for decades.  The Soros and Gates and Pritzker foundations have been sending seed money for a long time.
One of my missions this legislative year was to lobby against the proposed purchase of the new curriculum. I wasn’t alone but I kept asking the Exec Council (the gang in NH that authorizes the expenditure of money) if they wanted sex ed in NH to be sponsored by an organization whose principle activity was abortion and increasingly sex modification of minors. There was so-called “free money” from the Feds involved and if there’s one thing Sununu likes it’s free money but they rejected it.
Local school boards are pretty pathetic and generally won’t go against what the administration wants but the legislative committees can be influenced. It really does pay off to go to hearings. NH is a small state and numbers on committees is manageable, as is distance to Concord for most. The gay lobby won the parents’ rights’ bill tho.

I’ll be honest: it took an 11 year old girl speaking at a school board meeting (against the bathroom rules) to make me stop talking about what bothered me. She was brave and brilliant. The SB did not change its policy, tho. And I got lucky. I met a woman who has been doing school advocacy for about 20 years and she saved me time in learning how/when/what and I was able to skip to what was new territory. In return I’ve helped her with more robust research and helped edit her writing. But that 11 year old girl did the trick. She was undaunted when one of the Board members rolled her eyes, snickered and snorted about her comments. The meetings are recorded so it was not invisible.
I’ve found that the whole Ed structure ignores that its customers – local parents – are often much more thoroughly educated (in actual academic degrees and occupational achievements) than they are. Meetings are filled with smug.

DEI connects everything. If you cut its heart out everything else dies. And it is a great way for funders of “gender affirming care” to hide when their contributions go to DEI generally.

I think the 11 yr old girl’s speech in front of the hostile School Board went viral on social media.

I am not surprised that Biden avoided calling her a domestic terrorist. He gets away with calling parents that. But attacking an eleven yr old would be going way too far.

Okay, sorry, cheap shot, but. This sort of second-grade therapeutic-culture pablum isn’t always the right advice. Perhaps it’s my Lutheran culture and all. I suppose “Take Stock of Yourself with a Curt Unsparing Assessment, Encourage the Strengths, Feel Shame Where You Should, Endeavor to Improve, Then Get Over Yourself Because the Cows Need Milking” isn’t good T-shirt material, though.

I do not see how this stuff gets stopped.

Once we accepted the gay stuff we pretty much agreed to all this.

We went with the gay because we all had a family member that was a bit gay.  They were family and we did not want them hurt / hated.   So that means we accepted their way and even put the weight of law behind them.  But once you let go the perversions then all of them want it and we have a hard time to ok making the guy that is trans not get the same results.  Or those that are kids not have the same rights.  Or those that are adults and want a small kids not want their happiness.  After all these people are all family and the women of the world want their family happy so we have to let it go.  So here it is and here it goes.  It is going to be interesting to watch until God decides to sort it out again and let “The Gods of the Copybooks Headings” out to play again.

This is true. Once we gave in to gay marriage – and Republicans were just as guilty, albeit the squish and libertarian kinds – it established homosexuality as a norm. Once it’s considered “normal” then everything else falls like dominoes.

Homosexual rights advocates made a huge mistake by embracing the naturalist fallacy in the 1990s. The argument was that because it is natural, it is justified. What Harvey Weinstein did was natural. Human sacrifice and tribal war are also natural behaviours.

Lutherans and other Christians are correct when they recognize that they should try very hard to differentiate what is bad or good in them.
