Biden, the Figurehead

According to Merriam-Webster a figurehead is:

1: the carved figure on a ship’s bow

2: a leader in name only : a head or chief (as of a country or organization) with little or no authoritative power

This Fox News article simply confirms what we have already known for some time.

Biden had multiple ‘explosions’ at staff over excuses for inaction at the border: report

President Biden reportedly exploded several times over what he believed were excuses from his team for inaction at the southern border, according to a Washington Post story on Wednesday.

“When Biden would have explosions, and he did have a bunch of them, he’d say: ‘D— it, you haven’t told me anything different from what you told me last week,’” a former official, who remained anonymous, told The Washington Post.  (my emphasis)

The chief executive orders action and nothing happens? Repeatedly? He is the fall guy here. Whether it is certain individuals, or a cabal, that are sitting on their hands, they are keeping their heads down and letting Joe Biden think he is still in charge.

It has been asked who is actually running things in the white house. Is anyone running anything?

Leon Panetta, former Obama defense secretary and a member of the Department of Homeland Security’s advisory council, told the outlet that he was not sure the administration was ready for the end of Title 42.

“I’m not sure we’re ready for the consequences,” he said. “When you remove Title 42, there’s going to be new challenges that are going to have to be faced head-on.”

This guy is a former defense secretary? Not ready? No plan?

I hate to belabor the obvious and join in the chorus singing the “Joe Biden is Past It” song, but this is so frustrating.

Joe Biden is looking around the conference table and wondering where the weak link is. As in poker, if he doesn’t know, it’s him.

From an anonymous source…  Believe nothing.  There are many narratives being offered, this is just one balloon floated. there will be more. All are likely to have a thread of plausibility, woven into a fabric of deniability. They will keep spinning these yarns until you forget, and move on to the next tale.

Mad Gerald: The chief executive orders action and nothing happens? Repeatedly?

Not always. And often not soon enough.

Walkbacks are the only time he doesn’t stumble.
