Slash the FBI and DoJ to Ribbons

The DoJ conveniently indicted Santos today to undermine the Republican House Oversight Committee’s findings of millions of dollars to nine different Biden family members in a maze of shell companies and bank accounts. Then we have the FBI refusing to turn over documentation that shows Biden accepted money from Chinese nationals as VP in exchange for policy favors.

Two of the counts against this idiot Santos were two unemployment checks in the amount of $456. That’s right. Indicted for 900 bucks. The hundreds of millions the Clinton Foundation raked in for their “AIDS in Africa” projects was all kosher. Nothing to see here. The Bidens and their $10 million from Romania, Ukraine, and China was all hunky dory. Santos with his two unemployment checks totaling $900 needs to see the light of day and justice.

We don’t need the FBI and the DoJ anymore. They don’t do justice. They are corrupt and insubordinate agencies to the spirit of real justice and fair treatment. And if the GOP had any guts, they would be promising them right now, come September, that the votes to continue funding them at anything close to their current levels will not be there. However, we know the GOP. And what the GOP will do is take it and end up funding their own faces getting spit on and their own constituents being bullied and underserved.

Since the CIA and FBI both illegally involved themselves in the 2020 election, lets replace them both.

The DOJ press release says that he was indicted for embezzling $50,000 in campaign contributions and fraudulently obtaining over $24,000 in unemployment benefits while he was working and receiving a salary.

So the allegations are not about a mere $900.

Correct. If true, this is definitely the type of corruption that should lead to indictments of sitting members of Congress. Just as freezers full of cash led to William Jefferson’s indictment years ago.

There may be problems with the FBI and DOJ, but this doesn’t appear to be one of them.

It’s still a problem until they go after Joe Biden for it.

One minor postscript to your excellent writing, Glen:

There are some decent FBI agents. But they are ignored.

One example: In Early Autumn 2016, three NY state FBI agents discovered various anomalies indicating fraud undertaken by one of the Clinton Foundations.

NY state has very rigorous standards for foundations to follow. But these anomalies  were egregious even by more relaxed standards.

The agents contacted DC, to ask for other forensic accountancy agents to help sort through the mess.

Comey replied that he was impressed with their work. Only he also insisted that the agents send their discoveries down to the Washington DC office, which he indicated was better equipped to deal with such a massive project.

The agents dutifully complied. Then, of course, nothing ever came of the entire matter.

It is also worth noting that Comey himself had deep dealings with the Clintons. I think he might have actually held an important  position inside one of the Clinton foundations.

The fact that nothing came of the original FBI agents’ work means that Comey himself has acted in a totally impeachable way. (As he should have recused himself from any oversight of his investigation.)

There was an episode of Babylon 5 with a scene like that.  And there used to be a clip on youtube, but I can’t find it now.

Are you thinking of the scene where President Clark ordered Sheridan to send the evidence that former President Santiago had been assassinated to Earth, and the evidence disappeared en route?

Yep, and the prisoner, Garibaldi’s aide who shot him in the back.

It’s Satan who tries to keep people from seeing it.

This is just one episode of many in which the agencies subject to Congressional oversight completely thumb their noses at their overseers. Either Congress is illegitimate for being unwilling to assert its authority, or the agencies are illegitimate for refusing to submit to Congressional oversight. Or maybe at this point they’re all illegitimate, in which case y’all better move to Texas which we all know is the last best hope of freedom loving Americans.

It would be wonderful to watch Congress critters defund the DOJ and FBI.

Won’t happen, but I guess I can dream.

Instead of dreaming you could do some good and help Richard Epstein make sure the SC knows that we’re watching the case of Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimond.
