    then they’ll back off Biden.

I think he meant they’ll back off (from the) current criticism of Biden.

As worded, it was a bit ambiguous.

Yes, I’m wondering if the Ds have decided Biden has to go and they’re doing it indirectly by leaking stories about his corruption.

Pray it is so, for the last hope of the Nation continuing (roughly) as the Founders intended it.

    Richard Easton (View Comment):
The problem is that the VP is an idiot and they know this. Can they ease her out without eliciting cries of racism?

No. She is a nightmare and we all, and they all, know it and are in a trap of their own making; trouble is, we’re in that trap as well.

I don’t understand something in the OP. How does this letter say anything about Democratic Powers That Be? It’s signed by two Republicans.

Yeah sending a letter to Garland and Wray is like sending a letter straight to the DNC itself. I am sure they will get right on it.

But they will get right on it– they will walk right over to the shredder and get it in there as fast as their little hands can manage it. No one will ever hear of it again, because the media will ignore it and the Republicans will, in their usual fashion, never follow up on it.

Trump is the Republican that Biden can most likely defeat in 2024 (by fair means or foul).

I keep seeing this lately and am not at all sure I understand the basis for it. I should make it clear that I am no die-hard MAGA  person no matter come what may; as a Floridian, I have many reasons to be a great admirer of Ron DeSantis. But, and this is where I would appreciate someone helping me see what evidence this more and more frequently statement is offered. From where I sit, it seems to me Trump has a very deep base of support. Is this based solely on the alleged D support of the college educated, middle class, Female vote or are there other variables out there? Surely, there are not enough people left who would re-elect this near-corpse known as Biden because of “mean tweets”– right? Right? If so, we are in an irreversible tailspin.

If anything really happens it will only be because the Democrats have decided to get rid of Biden and will allow an impeachment to go ahead to force him to resign. I suspect that if Desantis or similar gets GOP nomination, then they’ll dump Biden. If Trump gets GOP nomination then they’ll back off Biden. Trump is the Republican that Biden can most likely defeat in 2024 (by fair means or foul).

In the former case, Harris becomes President and Newsom, or the Democrats favored candidate will be appointed VP.

They will get Harris out of the way first. Maybe she’d like to be Secretary General of the United Nations.

    The Peter Principle at work!

Well said! But they will definitely do something more: they will go on Fox News shows and TALK ABOUT IT.  Then they will go to 18 more fundraisers in the next 3 days.  Then, c’est tout!

They were able to convince – or at least browbeat – enough people that FJB got 81 million legitimate votes.  Nobody would believe that about Kamala.

John Solomon was on Hannity. The memo being requested is from June 2020 and it involved Ukraine. Did Bill, no voting fraud found, Barr know about this?

It would be much easier to keep her there and direct what she’s doing than to push her out.  They can take credit for the first female minority president, etc.

Win win.  Except for US citizens, of course, but we’re the tail end of all of these considerations.

I should have been more careful with my words.  Biden might be impeached, but will not be convicted in Senate.
