‘Her Testicles’
A headline in the NY Post states, “Trans woman left sobbing in JFK airport after TSA agent hit her testicles.”
Stop! Just stop. I know some like to think that, by ignoring what we all know to be true, we can create a new reality. But I am sorry to say, in this house, we believe science is real.
It seems a person was going through a TSA checkpoint and was pulled aside for a pat down. TSA has male agents to search men and female agents to search women. The difference is based on biology, not identity. Anyway, this person wanted to be treated as a woman, so the female TSA agent did the pat down.
While checking the groin area the agent slapped down a little too hard on the man’s testicles. Now, there is a reason for this. This next point is very important. The female agent was not expecting to hit testicles because, and again this point cannot be overstated, women don’t have testicles. That is not an opinion or bias, it is an actual scientific fact. If the passenger had requested a male agent and explained why, I am sure this would have been a much different experience.
We live in a time when grown-ups are actively trying to sexualize children in public and most people remain silent and allow it. That is bad. But editors who will write copy like “her testicles” or “her penis” are just as much a part of the problem. If I tricked a woman at the TSA to put her hand on my penis, I am pretty sure she is the one everyone would look at as the victim. This case is no different.
Stop pretending that what your eyes and ears are telling you is wrong. Stop denying that biology is real. Know that, no matter how hard you try to beat common sense to death, it will come back at you. People have problems, all of us do, but denying those problems in oder to create a false reality will not help anyone. Don’t play along.

To the complainer: When you pretend to be something other than what you are, you may get results you don’t like. That is your fault, not someone else’s. TSA agents (or police) will handle you in ways you may not like. Medical personnel will misdiagnose medical complaints, or completely miss diagnoses that might have been made correctly if you conformed to reality. People will say things you may find insulting. Tough. If you’re going to deny reality, don’t expect everyone else to make up for the consequences of that denial. If you’re truly committed to your denial of reality, you will cope with the natural consequences of that denial.

Yeah, and to the media and others who misuse language, either use the scare quotes you are so fond of in other situations (“her” testicles), or describe reality (his testicles). It is too hard for us reality-based people to read your idiotic nonsense language that calls a man pretending to be a woman “her.”
Someone here on Ricochet did help me immensely by pointing out that I should always read “transgender” as “pretend” – “transgender woman” = pretend woman; “transgender man” = pretend man. The plural pronouns for a single individual still confuse me and cause me to waste a lot of time looking for the other people to which the plural pronoun should be referring.
Exactly. With print media having such a hard time staying in business, one would think they would try to make it easier to read, rather than making it harder. The largest Oregon newspaper is completely, madly devoted to this insanity.
Reminds me of the old joke about the guy trying out a fancy new toilet with buttons for various things, water jet etc, and woke up in the hospital after pressing the button for “Tampon Removal.”

“Her Testicles” sounds like it’s from the refrain to a high spirited beer drinking song (but the German “Ihre Hoden” sounds more like a ballad).
Sounds like a great way to re-impose reality.
What about the poor female TSA agent who got “treated” to a handful of unexpected? Crikey!
Seriously, if the agent is expecting female anatomy and, instead, finds a “package,” what is she to think but that smuggling (or worse) is going on and investigate further?
Unfortunately the Post did not allow comments, but there are plenty on the original story in The Daily Mail, and almost no one is sympathetic to the whiner. But really they need to find a way to write about such people without, as you say, pretending, and one does pity the headline writers, too. Perhaps we need shorter, one-word titles such as “transette,” for male to female people, and “ transer,” for female-to-male people. The false pronouns have to go, though, and shame on both newspapers.

The Post is renowned for its headlines. I’m quite certain this one was selected for its exquisite juxtaposition of pronoun and noun. Illustrating absurdity by being absurd, as Rush would say. It simply points out with efficiency that the emperor has no clothes.
Well, it will make for a good story when she comes home to her husband that night. :)
The automatic tampon removal grabbed what it thought was a tampon and pulled it off.
I would think all woman understand that some woman have testicles given that woman are the number on supporter of trans women.

To me, a transitioning person doesn’t get to call him- or herself by the target sex until after genital surgery . . .
I believe the politically correct question in that instance is: “Ma’am, are you smuggling sperm?” And “Are you exceeding the 3oz limit on fluids?”
We live in a fake world. Fake news, fake medicine, fake people, etc.
They may adjust stuff that gives women advantage. But I suspect the Trans woman thing is here to stay. I am not sure why but women love gay men and men that become women. I notice it is really cool in the younger woman stuff and now that the Democrats have taught them in school to love it most this is going to continue to promote. Modern Western women love men that are not traditional men. The more a man acts like a woman the more they like them and the more they promote the law to have them. Since women have the right to vote and will continue to keep it this is going to happen more. This is just another part of modern feminism.

Nah. Not even then. Literally every (remaining) cell in their bodies still says “male” or “female” as it did before surgery.
Two tragedies that have non-zero probabilities may change that trajectory: 1) Men pretending to be women will overtake significant parts of women’s places, shoving women aside in the process (athletics obviously, but also note how many awards for women are now being given to men), and 2) a lot more girls and women are going to be raped by men who gain access to girls’ and women’s spaces by pretending to be women (witness already occurring school bathroom rapes and the number of male sex offenders moving to women’s prisons by pretending to be women). The victim numbers may have to get pretty high unfortunately before the leftist women appreciate how much they are losing.
Expressions like “her testicles” play havoc with our long established reasoning processes because when such expressions are acceptable we lose so much of our language. Language is a facilitator for sharing information resulting from reasoning.
Today we are losing distinguishing concepts like:
normal-abnormal
masculine-feminine
legal-illegal
real-fake
Even then, they still have whatever genetics they were born with.
On the other hand, maybe this is one way to get the demographic boost – “baby boom” – we’ve been needing.
