Quote of the Day: Time

“You can ask me for anything you like, except time.” ― Napoléon Bonaparte

That is what I am out of today: time. I have a book deadline on Tuesday and it is not yet done. Almost, but not yet. It requires a day or two more work.

Much of that time vanished, however. Last week two acquaintances died. I was close enough to both as to feel I need to attend their funerals for the sake of their families. So the book gets done today and tomorrow. Which means I have a choice of spending my morning writing a quote of the day or working on the book.

The book wins. This is my quote for today. I will try to do better next week.

I am just reading this now because I was attending a memorial service yesterday. It was so good to gather and share memories of a cherished family friend. I hope your presence at the funerals helps those families in their grieving.
