Sixty-five years ago, Project Vanguard launched a satellite on its third try. A message was sent:

For Mr Milton W. Rosen from Dr Wernher von Braun

My heartiest congratulations  to you and the personnel of Project Vanguard. You have my profound admiration for the initiative, pluck and faith which were rewarded by today’s launching.

Sally Rosen allowed me to make this copy when I visited them in 2009.

    My wife is between Milt and Marjorie Rosenberg in 2002.

    Couldn’t possibly me starting to lose my marbles in my early 60’s ….
