Quote of the Day: Project Vanguard

Sixty-five years ago, Project Vanguard launched a satellite on its third try. A message was sent:

For Mr Milton W. Rosen from Dr Wernher von Braun

My heartiest congratulations  to you and the personnel of Project Vanguard. You have my profound admiration for the initiative, pluck and faith which were rewarded by today’s launching.

Sally Rosen allowed me to make this copy when I visited them in 2009.

Milt Rosenberg  and Extension 720  on WGN  Radio was a National treasure.

You can still listen to some of Milt’s radio shows and podcasts:

Thanks for your response. Note though that Milt Rosen and Milt Rosenberg are different people. Here are Milt and Sally Rosen in 2009.

My wife is between Milt and Marjorie Rosenberg in 2002.

Still pretty impressive for you to spot me the Rosen, and then I just go off on my Rosenberg way.
