Ten classified documents were discovered at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, which houses documents from Biden’s vice presidency. Unlike the evil Trump, who secretly took highly classified documents containing nuclear launch codes to his lair at Mar-a-Lago in the wake of his failed effort to destroy American democracy on January 6, we can be confident that Biden had a perfectly good reason for having the classified documents. After all, we can’t expect a busy former vice president to oversee every document among the millions in his possession. And no doubt, although they were classified as Secret Compartmented Information, he may have thought that the SCI stamped on each page stood for “Strawberry Chocolate Ice cream.”
Since there was no FBI raid and no photographs of the documents were taken, we can’t be sure that there were actual classified documents found at Biden’s center. And honestly, the Archivist of the United States is not all that concerned about the matter, so Merrick Garland will probably just let it drop. After all, Garland is very busy prosecuting January 6th insurrectionists for bringing American flags into the Capitol, so he hardly has time to pursue trivial violations of the Espionage Act.Published in
