Step 4: Profit!
(So, for my first-ever post, I really wanted to write something a little more elaborate, but…)
I made a comment something like this on Ace of Spades HQ:
The GOP’s election strategy should be, and should have been since 2018, obvious:
- Implement strict same-day voting with paper ballots, and very limited absentee voting, wherever possible.
- For current elections where the laws allow, pursue all the democrat election strategies at least as fervently as they have been doing. And yes – where they cheat, cheat right back.
- This is the important step: rinse and repeat until #1 becomes universal.
(As you may know, at AoSHQ, unless you are a manic obsessive, your comment will almost certainly be ignored. Too many commenters, ya know. So since I have this urge to be heard on the topic, I’m posting it here.)
BTW Lee Zeldin gets it:
Why does he get it, and not the GOPe? Because they don’t really want to win.

Welcome aboard Moron. A good strategy.
The GOPe already have their jobs-for-life seats in Congress. What do they care if other Republicans can’t get elected?
Welcome! Great to have you here!
Lee Zeldin has announced he is seeking election as chair of the RNC. It would be great to get someone in there with the fire in the belly for election integrity.
I noticed that on AoS. I read it every day although I hesitate to comment. I agree with you 100%.
I’ve read it every day for lo who knows how many years. But I almost never comment – in fact I rarely read comments – because there are just too many to keep up with.
And thanks (in advance, as applicable), for the kind comments. I’m set to skeddadle across the Pacific Ocean over the next couple days, so my ability to respond is going to be limited.
Meanwhile, the GOP has spent the last 3 elections blaming Trump and voting machines.
Didn’t he also vote for the Respect For Marriage Act. He might need to explain that vote.
It looks like he did, but I can’t say I’m surprised. To me it just means he is about as conservative as we can expect from a New York polititian. But would I support his candidacy for RNC chair? I don’t know. I certainly would like, at the minimum, and explanation as to how he would protect my right to hold and express my own opinions on the nature of marriage as an institution. From what I’ve read, the “Respect for Marriage Act” threatens that.
I think we should support the least competent person as RNC chair. Maybe Liz Cheney would work since she is looking for work come January. The sooner the GOP dies and a new party can form the better.
