Joe Biden Supporter Takes Action Against the MAGA Threat

Joe Biden warned that Republicans who want to make America great again are “a clear and present danger” to American democracy. That his political opponents represent “a threat to our personal rights, to the pursuit of justice, to the rule of law, to the very soul of this country.”

His message got through. A North Dakota man has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide after intentionally killing a teenager with his vehicle just because the teen is a Republican.

The fatal vehicle-pedestrian incident happened early Sunday morning, Sept. 18, in McHenry, North Dakota, about 120 miles northwest of Fargo and 54 miles north of Jamestown. Court papers show Brandt called 911 around 2:30 a.m. Sunday and told the 911 dispatcher that he just hit Ellingson, claiming the teen was part of a Republican extremist group and was calling people to come get Brandt after a political argument.

The judge ordered him held on $50,000 bail.

January 6 protesters, who killed no one, were held indefinitely without bail.

    1. No one is calling for censorship of political speech; not even of demagogic attacks on political opponents.
    2. The Democrat Party has chosen to deliberately malign its political opponents as “extremists,” as “threats to democracy,” because they have calculated that this will accrue to their political benefit.
    3. The Democrat Party controls the national media, so their chosen political message is amplified.
    4. Pointing out that demagogic attacks on political opponents, coupled with the media’s ability to amplify those attacks, has a cause and effect relationship when unhinged partisans carry out attacks against the designated enemies of the state is not a call for censorship, but for accountability.

Yes.  I haven’t really been following this thread — because among thinking people I thought the difference was obvious — but there is a very big, big, BIG difference between considering Palin’s crosshairs to be call for violence (as the media did) and Democrats saying don’t let them rest, get in their way, get in their faces, don’t let them shop at the supermarket and don’t let them sit down at a restaurant! — and then finding mobs of people actually confronting and shouting down and chasing out people from restaurants and stores and shouting outside their homes with bullhorns throughout the night — and Democrats never, ever telling their constituents to stop it!, or to moderate their protests by time, place or threat level, not to physically or verbally harass, not to illegally protest at night with bullhorns — not to literally get in anyone’s faces!  (Assault does not have to include touching, yet Democrats encourage it.)

This whataboutism, call it moral relativism or whatever, is purely one-sided political harassment and outright criminality — permitted by the Democrats in power.

A lot of woke/left-wing sites are saying the driver was drunk and it was an accident. Exactly what I expected.

A Fox headline says, “North Dakota official says ‘no evidence’ supports suspect’s claim teen was Republican ‘extremist'”

That’s bad news for the perp, because if the victim had been an extremist, he would have been fair game.

On the other hand, nobody really knows what an extremist is, or if there is such a thing as a person who is not an extremist.

(When I saw the name “McHenry, North Dakota,” that got my attention as my birthplace home is in McHenry County, North Dakota. But the village of McHenry is further east. I’ve never been there, as best I know.)

Biden should be held to account.

That would be pretty dangerous if every time some lunatic commits an act of violence, we start punishing politicians who have been critical of the group the victim is part of. It was wrong when Democrats wanted Sarah Palin punished because an insane person shot a Democratic politician Palin was campaigning against. It would be wrong here, too. Biden’s speech was garbage, but he wasn’t calling on people to assault Republicans.

It would be far from the first time. Think of the politicians who were blamed for creating the atmosphere that led to the Oklahoma City bombing. Think of the way the Democrat media spent ten years blaming the right for the “Spirit of Dallas” and the assassination of President Kennedy.

    Read the speech.

“MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They do not believe in the rule of law. They do not recognize the will of the people.

MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards — backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love.

Trump and the extreme MAGA Republicans, (are), a “clear and present danger” to our democracy.

We’re all called, by duty and conscience, to confront extremists who will put their own pursuit of power above all else.

“People who do not believe as we do are the enemy. It is your duty to confront them.”

Or as President Bill Clinton said, “Raise your fist in the air and shout them down!”

I looked it up. Here is a news item from the June 2 1995 issue of The Parsons (Kansas) Sun.

The news media didn’t point out the fascist imagry and instead tried to reinterpret the President’s words as calling for moderation.

    former AG Barr

Is that the same AG Barr, who claimed there was “no election fraud”, but never actually investigated any fraud claims, “because that is a state thing” according to news reports.   What doesn’t that fraudster not lie about?

Democrats saying don’t let them rest

The Democrat Blackshirts like to say “it is OK to punch a Nazi” and “everyone not with us is a Nazi”.
