Let’s Turn and Burn!

This video is Gov. DeSantis’ latest campaign ad. What I loved about it is that he shows that he doesn’t always take himself so seriously and is also willing to tell the truth. The ad itself is just under a minute, so if you don’t want the commentary about the Democrats, you are obviously welcome to skip it.

I was listening to Clay Travis on the radio talking about 2024 , and at the end of his broadcast he was discussing the possibilities for the presidential election. He posed the question about whether Trump should run with DeSantis as VP (if DeSantis were willing); whether DeSantis should wait for 2028; whether DeSantis should run for president. Or if he should just stay with us here in Florida. The pluses and minuses about the potential outcomes are fascinating to contemplate.

Yeah, it’s running up here in Ohio.  The best political commercial since Dan Crenshaw’s a couple of years ago.

Yes, I know that Crenshaw has strayed from the path, but I have hope that he’ll see the light…

That might have something to do with it.  It was on FOX so I suspect that it went nationwide.

Each time I see DeSantis, I always think that the difference (for Florida) between a great Governor and a degenerate was a mere 32, 000 votes.  Incredible.

IIRC, he was in AZ supporting Kari Lake. The boy is collecting IOUs nationwide. Seems as though he supports the same candidates Trump does.

I can dream so I’d like to see him as Trump’s VP, and have Trump resign two years and one week into his term so we could have a chance for ten years of DeSantis as prez.

I’d really like to see that scenario play out just to see how many NT fools have heart attacks.

As much as I admire him, Mr Trump is unelectable and becomes more so with every passing day.  Too much drama to get his agenda through.  Maybe this is not his fault, but it’s true none-the-less.

We need Mr DeSantis on top of the ticket in 2024.  Let the student surpass the master.

It may be that Trump’s legacy will be to have shown that “The Swamp” wasn’t Democrats only but included the GOPe. He also showed us just how deep it goes. We should be grateful that he did.

I have observed first-hand that the skills necessary to overcome institutional inertia and get an effort under way are not always the skills necessary to guide the effort to completion, or even to sustain the effort once it is underway. DeSantis is probably the guy we need now.

What a great ad! I thought it was right there with Crenshaw’s ad, too. Guess we will just have to wait and see how this all plays out after November. I am jealous of you Floridians. Maybe after 2024 you can be jealous of me and my Governor Mark Robinson?

The similarities to that infamous Crenshaw ad concern me, given that Crenshaw has become an apologist for the Deep State.

Could DeSantis turn against us, too?

Now, now. Just because he was found vomiting in the bathroom of a hotel room with two other guys, one of whom was ODed on some of the crystal meth found in the room is no reason to characterize him as a degenerate.

That can’t quite happen.  The Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates must be from different states.  In 2000: Cheney re-registered in Wyoming to be able to run.

As Florida’s Governor, DeSantis can’t move.  Would Trump move from a state where he pays NO State Income Tax?  I don’t think so.

This was a great ad.  Have you given to “Ready for Ron”?  I have.

Trump maintains a residence in New Jersey, I believe. It would be an easy fix.

Would Trump do that to be President again and induce heart attacks in his enemies? Is the pope Catholic? (Once upon a time, that was “YES!”. Today, I’m not so certain.)

It’s all speculation.  I don’t think Trump will be our candidate because he’ll be nearly 8o, and Biden won’t be the Democrat candidate.  The Democrats are making him the candidate by going after him with empty, fraudulent nonsense and the corrupt controlled main stream media simply lies all day long every day.  Amazing.  But that should be over and revealed as fraudulent by campaign time.    I’ll admit trying to predict  what Trump will do or say isn’t wise.  Let folks speculate about De Santis as VP.  It gives him press.  Trump gets to take all the negative press for another couple of years, he’s quite capable, then he can back someone.    I think a non trump candidate is more difficult to defeat with huge amounts of celebrated fraud.

Who knows what the Pope is these days? My spouse just informed me that the Church is behind the promotion of a devotional  candle with Anthony Fauci’s face on it.

I don’t know if that is true, but it is troublesome that if it is true, I would not be shocked.

Imagine, if you will, a Biden – DeSantis presidential debate. It would start as a contest of equals, for appearance’s sake, but turn into something else – the younger man explaining to grandpop what the Denny’s menu says, and trying not to roll his eyes when grandpop starts getting angry about how they don’t have toothpick dispensers by the cash register anymore. AND WHAT HAPPENED TO PENNIES. WHEN I’M PRESIDENT THERE WILL BE, UH, PENNY EQUITY

Uh you’re already president, remember? Let’s pay up and get you back home.

Memory lies to us though we can never be sure how much it lies. My memory tells me that in his debate with Ryan Biden was stupid and a liar, but vicious. He interrupted continuously, and Ryan rolled over. I expect Slow Joe would be the same in a debate with DeSantis, but DeSantis wouldn’t roll over. The problem is that DeSantis would find himself in the same position Larry Holmes found himself when he fought Muhammad Ali. He’d appear to be punishing an old man far past his prime.
