NeverTrump Helping Democrats in Missouri Senate Race
Former U.S. Attorney John Wood stepped down as lead investigator for the House Select Committee on Jan. 6 this summer to launch an independent Senate bid in Missouri. Wood is a close friend of the Cheney family and formerly worked in the second Bush administration with stints at the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Wood’s Senate campaign is now being financed by another alumnus of the Bush administration, former Missouri Sen. John Danforth, who was President Bush’s ambassador to the United Nations between 2004 and 2005. In July, Danforth’s super PAC launched a $750,000 dollar ad blitz and announced plans to raise anywhere from $20 to $40 million for the fall campaign.
So, a former Republican senator and Bush administration official is going to try and raise $40 million. He will not use this money to help flip blue seats in Georgia and Arizona. He will not use this money to protect vulnerable Republican seats in North Carolina or Pennsylvania. Instead, he will force the Republican Party to expend resources defending what should be a safe Republican senate seat in Missouri.
The pattern of Never-Trumpers openly supporting Democrats demonstrates that they are not principled conservatives. They are a Democrat fifth column embedded in Republican ranks, who will undermine the party’s chances at every opportunity.

I’m liking your comments for the effort, but at some point, you’ll join others in finding this effort pointless.
I know the feeling, but Gary’s comments don’t bother me so much because he remains respectful and doesn’t make derogatory remarks about others. Even though I know his mind is stuck in low gear on some issues and will never bend, the discussion is helpful for me to think through my own issues and refine my arguments. It is not all for naught!
He is polite. That is it. Many of his comments are not respectful. He stays inside the COC. That’s it.
He doesn’t study the news. He doesn’t study public policy. He starts way more arguments than he is willing to finish. He belongs at principles first, but I have no idea if they have Internet forums.
Well, he apparently does study the left-wing news. He seems to know most of the left-wing talking points as well as which facts to conveniently ignore.

Nobody would use the term “The Big Lie” unless that term was put into his head by someone else. There have been so many consequential Big Lies in politics over the years, that unless identification tags are assigned to each one there is no way to know which one is meant unless one is taking part in groupthink. Some examples:
If it had been the practice to assign a positive integer number to each one, the Clintons would have wanted to reserve a number of them in advance so the supply of positive integers wouldn’t run out for them.
