Some Seattleites Not Sitting Still for ‘Transgenderism’

Local Seattle radio host Dori Monson spoke with a gentleman, father of two, who will be leaving Seattle for Tennessee. The last straw was the summer swim league new rules.  They allow so-called “trans girls” (what we know as boys posing as girls) into the girls’ locker rooms at swim clubs all over Seattle, including the club where I was a member in my youth.

The dad calls the new rules “child abuse.” Quote from the article:

What is equally concerning to the father of one son and one daughter? A GSSSL task force recommendation would have biological boys/trans girls ages 12 years and younger compete in an open category with biological girls. Transgender swimmers 13 and older would have to undergo some form of hormone therapy or puberty blockers to compete in so-called “elite” time-based competitions…

That could mean some biological boys/transgender girls would “have to start the cycle of drugs at age 9, or they won’t be at their full potential at age 14,” Abramowicz said. “It’s child abuse. China, Russia, and North Korea are laughing at us.”

I wonder how many others will be moving out of the state unnoticed. There was an article recently about the drop in the number of students in Seattle Public Schools, threatening their funding. I feel sorry for those who are left.

RushBabe49: I feel sorry for those who are left.

It’s okay to feel sorry for those who are left.  But don’t feel sorry for those who are Left.  They’re getting what they asked/voted for, good and hard.

I hope they don’t leave.  We do not need slight Left running to red states to get away from hard left.  It will just turn the states purple then blue

We recently had a catch-up conversation with a woman whose oldest son grew up with our daughter.  They graduated 10 years ago, and her son is about to have their first grandchild while our daughter  just recently got engaged.  “Kim” made an interesting comment:

“We could retire, but we decided that we should continue working for a while to see if we can help with private school tuition for the grandkids.”

Is this a new financial consideration, or have aging parents planned these strategies for a long time?  I had not considered it before.

It tells you something about how much leftism people are willing to tolerate until it affects their own children . . .

What is it that the moderate left believes about our constitution, our nation, the nature of governance in a giant complex place?  Can the US  economy be governed from the top?  What kinds of people reach the top in large  political systems of all sorts and what are their primary objectives?    Can states be governed by their tops in giant places with Giant cities?  What should be our policy regarding the border and legal and illegal immigration?   What are China’s goals regarding the US?  Is China  a threat to the US?  If so, what is the nature of that threat?  Is Russia a threat?  What affect does governance of the Ukraine have on Americans and American interests?  How does our relationship with Russia influence our relationships with China, Europe and the rest of Asia?    What are the three top foreign threats to America’s economy, it’s citizens and its future. Same question for domestic issues.  How are they related?

Just as Democrats are aborting themselves into minority status, their wired love of trans is rendering countless children infertile.

Gary, that is the first conservative comment you’ve ever made. And it was so short!

    You feeling OK?

All the years I taught I never saw a kid who wanted to be the sex other than the one he/she was born. I had several young men who were very effeminate, but the didn’t want to be girls. They were happy being what they were. They often hung with girls, and the girls liked them, and that was all they needed.

You would think that given the nature of my classroom that I would have seen more with disphoria, but I never did. The first and only transsexual I ever met was a substitute teacher who was a very large, broadshouldered man who had had breast implants and let his blond hair grow to shoulder length. He was well over 6′ tall. He had very masculine features and what I thought was a very large chip on his broad shoulders. He was the last person I would have chosen to come into my classroom and substitute for me.  Middle school adolescents didn’t need to be any more confused about  sexuality than they already were. I told my principal to  let the sub office to never send him again. In 2010 (I think that was about the time it happened) it was still possible to make that kind of request in Seattle.

What is happening now, what  @rushbabe49 describes in this post is not unbelievable given all I saw over the years, but is a cause for great joy that I retired when I did. Things were getting bad by 2013, but nowhere near where they are today. What was once the most wonderful city to live in has become a cesspool. I am fortunately far enough into the hinterlands that it has little effect on me, but it does sadden me when I think of my first apartment on Alki Point and the quiet walks I took along the beach there for five years and sailing my boat in Puget Sound during those years. I took this shot from the balcony of my apartment . We were paying $150/month. I could walk out of my apartment with my SCUBA gear on and go diving in Puget Sound. There has to be a special place in Hell for the people who destroyed this city.

Teachers these days have lots of options.  Hillsdale is seeding classical charter schools everywhere, and they are hurting for teachers and headmasters (yes, they still call them that).  Students are lined up out the door for this real education, and Hillsdale is also starting a Masters program in Classical Education.

Yes, this is a complete and utter catastrophe.  If only our right had enough stones to call the left out on this, loudly, clearly and repeatedly.

In reality, such people are very rare.  One hundred percent of so-called transgenders are seriously mentally ill.  The transgenderism is part of their self-loathing.  “Better to be remade as a girl”, thinks the suffering little boy, “than to live my miserable life as a boy”.  If only they could know the suffering ahead of them.  I can’t think of any of my TG patients who are happy and are not taking antidepressants or antipsychotics.

I think the underlying problem, as I’ve mentioned before/elsewhere, is that nobody can really know that they “should” be the opposite gender, because they have no idea what that’s actually like.  All they can know is they don’t feel “normal” as they are, which, as you say, shouts mental illness.

I call the destruction of girls’ and womens’ sports by transgenderism friendliness examples of how the ‘Patriarchy strikes back’ to benefit biological males at the expense of biological females and against the original expansion of sports and business promoted by ‘Paleo-Feminism.’ (aka original feminism before advent of male-bashing)
