Local Seattle radio host Dori Monson spoke with a gentleman, father of two, who will be leaving Seattle for Tennessee. The last straw was the summer swim league new rules. They allow so-called “trans girls” (what we know as boys posing as girls) into the girls’ locker rooms at swim clubs all over Seattle, including the club where I was a member in my youth.
The dad calls the new rules “child abuse.” Quote from the article:
What is equally concerning to the father of one son and one daughter? A GSSSL task force recommendation would have biological boys/trans girls ages 12 years and younger compete in an open category with biological girls. Transgender swimmers 13 and older would have to undergo some form of hormone therapy or puberty blockers to compete in so-called “elite” time-based competitions…
That could mean some biological boys/transgender girls would “have to start the cycle of drugs at age 9, or they won’t be at their full potential at age 14,” Abramowicz said. “It’s child abuse. China, Russia, and North Korea are laughing at us.”
I wonder how many others will be moving out of the state unnoticed. There was an article recently about the drop in the number of students in Seattle Public Schools, threatening their funding. I feel sorry for those who are left.Published in
