Trump’s Mar-A-Lago Home Raided by FBI

Via Fox News.

Former President Trump on Monday said that his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida is “under siege” by a “large group” of FBI agents.

“Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate,” Trump said. “It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections.”

“Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before,” Trump said, alleging that the FBI agents broke into his safe.

“What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee?” he said. “Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States.”

Multiple sources tell Fox News the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago is related to the materials Trump allegedly brought to his private residence after his presidency concluded. That matter was referred to the Justice Department by the National Archives and Records Administration, which said it found classified material in 15 boxes at the residence.

Per the CNN article, he was not home at the time.

They must actually believe he can win in 2024.

If they didn’t want him to run for president in 2024, this is the worst move they could’ve made. If Anything Would Drive President Trump into declaring his candidacy, this is the act that would do it.

And get a lot of people that would prefer a different standard bearer, like DeSantis, to rally to Trump for 2024.

    Has DeSantis commented?

    He’s condemned it.

Here’s the thing, if Trump is *prevented* from running in 2024, then DeSantis or whoever condemns this in the strongest fashion, and is intent on gutting the FBI and rescinding the Patriot Act, etc. will win in a landslide.

It will be the biggest backlash in American history. If Trump is ‘off the table’ they can’t continue this charade. DeSantis or some other candidate will emerge and it will be difficult to use the same rationale.

So they need Trump as a boogeyman. So if they are smart (and I’m not sure they are) they are trying to wound Trump but not kill him and then employ their extra-legal tactics with the rationale that he’s “unfit” as justification for shenanigans.

Abolish the FBI and start from scratch.

Or we can just have a civil war…

    Either way…

Just had an odd thought: Those men and women in the military and law enforcement are supposed to defend the Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic. Will they? Will they be on the side of election integrity? I’m not sure anymore.

That’s part of the reason they’re woke-ifying the military and law enforcement, as well as forcing injections of a dangerous vaccine. They want to rid these institutions of anyone who might possibly have an independent streak. They only want regime drones.

After they’ve done that, they can use them against the citizens without any concerns.

To be sure, between the “Defund the Police” movement, BLM, and Covid Vax Mandates, I think there are a lot fewer of those in law enforcement that care about such things. It’s not to say that they’re gone altogether, but I’m willing to bet that a large portion of those left in the ranks right now will do what they’re told. What happened in Uvalde, TX is a warning sign of the caliber of people we have now.

I agree. While I do not support Defunding the Police, I also wont defend them anymore. My city police force used violence on individuals to enforce covid restrictions – public health orders. I just see a police officer giving someone a Rodney King style beat down while saying ” This … IS … FOR … YOUR … OWN … GOOD … ” in between blows with the night stick…

I keep waiting to get pulled over, and the officer to ask “Do you know why I pulled you over?” I plan to reply “Because its a week night, and you dont have a church service to disrupt” … See if I have the nerve to actually say it, when I get pulled over.

If push comes to shove… The police will not be on ‘our’ side.

It’s tough to know where to post with so many threads, but I’ll go with what appears to be first.

With a raid of this significance, something needs to be done about releasing the warrant.

Granted a judge signed off on it, but who puts much stock in that?  I’m assuming this is leading to an “obstruction” charge against Trump, but, when someone of this significance is a subject of the warrant, the public has a right to know about the basis.

    Sure they can.

DeSantis or some other candidate will emerge and it will be difficult to use the same rationale.

Liz Cheney has already said that she would find it “very difficult” to support DeSantis because his had “lined himself up almost entirely with Donald Trump,” and she “thinks that’s very dangerous.”

That’s their rationale, and they won’t find it difficult to use it at all.  The fact that it should more properly be called an “irrationale” doesn’t matter to them.

To be clear, I’m not suggesting there is merit to their continuing the charade, and I agree with you that the backlash will be spectacular.  I’m just saying that they’ll have no difficulty at all keeping it going and stirring the pot.  Whether he runs or not, it’s going to be “Trump Trump Trump” all the way to the election and beyond.

As soon as the new republican congress is sworn in. Biden, Garland and the judges who signed these warrants should all be impeached.

Perhaps a bill entitled “Federal Law Enforcement Reform” should look at abolishing the alphabet soup… DEA, FBI, ATF, TSA … Ect… Leave the US Marshals and maybe the Secret Service alone… and prevent them from hiring any of abolished agents…

It is not a charade anymore. It’s out in the open and they are daring us to do anything about it. That’s not an original thought; Drew in Wisconsin has said it before, as have others, and I think they are right. Cheney has said that the point of the hearings is to make certain that Trump can never come near the Oval Office again. She has lied and will continue to lie. There was no pretense of seeking the truth.

Two weeks ago while driving I had the radio on KQED and was listening to two fools rant about Trump. I was wondering who these two were and at the end of the segment, I learned it was the editor of the New Yorker and Jamie Raskin. These people are lunatics. They can’t be reasoned with; they have to be defeated. Rush said it before he died, and he was spot on.

I want to see the warrant.   I want to see those who compiled the warrant examined.

Lots of people go through this but when a person who received millions of votes is the subject, it’s a different matter.

    It’s a public matter.

I’ll go out on a limb and state that there will nothing that could be called a “civil war”. There will be terrorist actions and a slow dissolution of society resulting in martial law. If this stands, the country is finished.

I don’t (can’t?) disagree with a word of this. But a question remains whether the many energized civil libertarians, which include Trump supporters but also many more including socialist leftists who are sympathetic to why people should not be demonized, will see through this more and more. I’m seeing it happen in real time.

But, there are a lot of dumb people out there and they keep working on that systematically.
