Ricochet is teaming up with The Texas Tribune Festival
Ricochet is excited to be a media partner with The Texas Tribune Festival, which is taking place September 22-24 in downtown Austin. The official program will be announced in early August and the speaker lineup (including some hopeful Ricochet talent), travel information and more can be found at tribfest.org.
If you would like to attend, we have a discount code for a one-time 15% discount off one general admission ticket. Just go to tribfest.org and enter code Ricochet15 in the “promo code” box located at the bottom of the registration widget and click “apply”. The ticket cost for General Admission will change to reflect the discount.
We hope to see you there!

Hillary, Fauci and Bill Kristol? Yikes!
Looking at the speakers, I’d go to Chip Roy, Mayra Flores and Andy Roddick.
In Austin some years back, I saw Barack Obama come to town, or so I imagined at the time. The arrival was announced, but of course I didn’t actually see the guy. What I saw was traffic dwindle on Highway 71, then a limo race by, with a few other vehicles in formation. Undoubtedly the Secret Service was on hand. But another thing I imagined is that quite a few other armed personnel were as well – from other countries. Not to threaten the President; just the opposite. They would have reasoned that this guy is so valuable to them, nothing must befall him. The Secret Service is good but a little backup can’t hurt.
I have no idea if that really happened, but it had to cross some minds. Now I wonder, looking at the roster for this get-together, whether those same minds are deciding whether to shadow anyone. Again, just to make absolutely sure he or she lives a good long life of service. To them. If the NSA really does monitor everything, and if I were President, I would command the release of the recordings of foreign agents actually saying who’s getting that extra-special attention. Or just saying, “Nah…Beto’s on his own.”
To anyone else considering attending, I say: jayzus. Yours is a hunger without taste. Loving politics so much that you’d pay to listen to these folks is like loving food so much you’d eat carbon.
Ricochet podcaster David Drucker should be there :)
Just be careful around all the homeless tents.
Austin? Austin?
I won’t be there (1,000 miles away) but this sounds great! Glad to see it.
Cool. The list looks to be about 90% Democrats. I wonder if they will put the GOP folks in the corner or add one to each panel.
On the other hand, if Hillary audibly sheds medical hardware, that would be totally worth the price of admission.
Partnering with The Texas Tribune? Really?
What’s next: The Bulwark?

The Texas Tribune is a partisan leftist rag.
True but at some point you have to take the war to the enemy. I hope that they do get some engagement there for right of center causes. I’ll have to think about it though the ticket is pretty steep for not a lot of content I suspect I would care for. Although with some of TPTB in Austin maybe a meet-up is in order.
Love your thinking on the meetup! Great idea ….
