Washington’s Not-So-Secret Secret

The Washington Examiner columnist, Paul Bedard, is dedicated to “Washington Secrets.”  This morning he wrote a post about the alleged secret that Joe Biden profited from son Hunter’s “shady” overseas dealings.

According to a Rasmussen poll, 62% of the respondents believe Shifty Joe “personally profited” from Hunter’s dealings with the Chinese. Further, 56% believe there is no chance he will ever see federal charges.

62% and 56%.

There is no secret. The public knows we are a banana republic, with deplorables rotting in jail, and the elites fleecing us for millions of dollars of grift, graft, extortion, influence peddling, and insider trading. (Pelosi anyone?)

The powers that be are in full open defiance and contempt over the plebes. We don’t matter and will be put in our place (see the show trial of Bannon)

They are and forever will be immune from prosecution and will punish any who dare to question them.

The message is no secret.  Know your place, plebe.

    So, . . . what’s the solution?

Tilting at windmills as we always do.  Live a true life, use words that are correct, (ie, a man is a man, regardless of his preferred pronouns) make your actions reflect courtesy, respect (when deserved) and justice, love your family, Trust in God. (and like Eli in Indiana, your 9MM)

Until we reach the point of your National Divorce, as you have euphemistically called a civil war, then voting is our only option, while at the same time becoming active in our own governance. Run for school council, election clerk, zoning board.  These local offices often are won by dozens of votes, and have impact on our immediate community and lives.

Not my term. People have been talking about National Divorce for a few years now. Doesn’t have to be a civil war. We could separate amicably citing irreconcilable differences.

For example, some of us still adhere to the Constitution. Others wish to have it nullified so they can become part of the “Global Community” under the watchful eye of the WEF.

If Biden ushers in a GOP wave, deep state rollbacks, and President DeSantis gets to add 2 more conservatives to SCOTUS, lefties may happily join a prosecution of the Bidens to make the claim that Joe et al were never really committed progressives and that is why the lefty agenda failed.  I could easily see them offering him up.

Republicans have almost never had the stomach to go for the jugular the way lefties do.  I recall watching Henry Waxman pioneer the perjury trap approach:  Ask the witness the same question multiple times with slight variations.  If any one answer is different from any other, push for prosecution.  Waxman wanted personal destruction and jail time for any enemy (executives from tobacco, oil, or any other targeted industry or individual).

Bob Packwood was put on trial for deeds that would have been a slow afternoon for Chris Dodd or Ted Kennedy.

The unprincipled staff of the Mueller team instantly granted immunity to Democratic operatives doing the same things that Manafort did in Ukraine then destroyed him.  Flynn had to be ruined while McCabe got a pass for actually violating the law.  They wasted tens of millions of dollars, misled the American people (they knew the Russian collusion thing was a joke within the first two weeks but persisted.)  They all still have law licenses.

And Democrats are still convinced they are the nice ones who just can’t bring themselves to play hardball the way those tough, mean Republicans do.

Agreed.  And the only way for individuals to get authorized to observe and attend polls and election counting sites is through the parties.  Last Sprin, I attended one of the “poll watching instructional seminars” with the intent to be a poll watcher. During that seminar, I learned I could also apply to be a poll worker for our local Allegheny county.  I applied on-line 1 week prior to the elections, and was awarded the position of Judge of Elections for a local polling location.  I think an even more important position would be  clerk of elections, responsible for actually counting votes, and deciding which votes should count,  ie do signatures match? was a mail-in ballot already issued, was a ballot received on time, all of those decisions are made by the local clerk…

For the millionth time:  Hunter had no overseas dealings.  No one is going to give a drug-addled unemployed con man millions of dollars.  What does Hunter have that is worth paying for?

Only one thing.  And that one thing is his father’s influence.  Obviously.

So why is anyone interested in Hunter’s role in all this?  He’s irrelevant.

President Biden, however, is not irrelevant.  And he’s being studiously ignored.  The media tells us that this is about “Hunter’s laptop,” not “President Biden selling American interests to the highest bidder”.

And of course, Trump’s kids should be sent to jail for doing business even if it is all legal and open –because Trump.

Hunter has done so many drugs that he has opened a portal to another version of this universe, one in which he is competent and sober and paid for actual services and expertise but those events are somehow leaking onto his laptop in this universe in which he is a largely useless drug-addled pervert.

Joe thinks he is still in the Senate where nobody cares if he takes some on the side if it is discretely laundered or like Bill and Hillary’s “foundation” to support lifestyle expenses until Hillary entered the White House –accepting beaucoup millions in the interim.  Recall Harry Reid sponsoring a federal land-swap bill for the benefit of investors that included his sons and they later made him a partner in that enterprise.  Imagine his surprise. You crazy kids! You got me…I had no idea you were going to cut me in like this….

But foreign slimeweasels paying Hunter tons for his “expertise” is so blatant, so gross that it is an insult to all those in Washington who have obtained their graft funds with discretion and style.  Joe and Hunter have really let down the side.

The Big Guy is sliding into dementia at exactly the right time–he will be unfit for trial when he leaves office.

When all of the stories about Hunter started to come out, some people said, “So what? He isn’t the one running.” But of course, Hunter couldn’t sell influence and/or access unless his father was an active participant, and that does matter.

If the article is true, and I think it is dead on, why does anyone think there will be a fair election that Republicans could win.  So what are the options?  First we wait and see, and if we can’t win the house, then it tells us what is going to happen and we have to deal with it.  It should be obvious that even  honest folks  cannot run the US from the top.  In contrast, we can be run as groups of states and pieces of states or a variety of countries with different  states as long as it’s bottom up, the way it was founded.  We’d need some combined defense as China is a major threat and will be followed by some other threat.  We’re too big and most of our States are too big to be run from the top.  Nobody is talking this way but it’s the only option if the crazy left holds on to power. Democrats might think that’s ok until they realize that their system is non sustainable, or they might fight it, in any  case we have to take huge chunks of the US military to the new Republic.  Insane?  Yes, of course but if we can’t return to a bottom up republic it’s the only option.   How much time do we have?  What does China do over the next 3 years?  The Chinese have all of Africa and with the fall of Colombia, all of Latin America but Brazil, where they’re charging ahead.  Folks it ain’t good.
