Did you hear the sheer panic in Elena Kagan’s questioning, when she wanted to know what would happen if everyone chose what parts of the law to follow?
Solution = don’t make laws that require people to do things they find morally objectionable, especially in exchange for political trophies that appeal to only one faction.

But KC, you’re talking about a situation where people are somehow allowed to have any religious beliefs they want, and the government doesn’t get to regulate them? What is this, Mad Max?
Perhaps she should pose that question to President Obama.
