Dems Keep Stepping All Over the Jan. 6 Commission Show Trial

I tend to admire the left’s fealty to their Message. Say what you will about Nancy, but she keeps her gang in line. They move as one, act as one, speak with one voice, and get pretty ornery if a Manchin or a Sinema show a little independence.

Which is why the last few days have been kind of hilarious.

The premise of the Jan.6 show trials is that President Trump whipped up a mob and directed them to storm the capitol where they pounded on the office doors of House members, frightening the precious darlings to pieces (even some who weren’t there), and generally going where they weren’t supposed to go.

But then this week we learned that Adam Schiff — member of that august committee — allowed crew members of Stephen Colbert’s show into the capitol where they pounded on the office doors of House members and went where they weren’t supposed to go. And were arrested. They were let go the next day, of course, because they were “good Democrats” and not the filthy Trumpian swine, many of whom are still locked away in the DC Gulag.

But dang, Schiffy, that’s not a very good look. Especially while you’re trying to communicate the seriousness of Trump voters entering the Capitol and turning over rocks looking for any Republicans who might have assisted them. You’ve been caught red-handed, and in the process, stepped all over your message that this kind of thing threatens “our Democracy.”

On Thursday the Supreme Court struck down a ruling in New York that was absolutely a violation of the 2nd Amendment. The response from the DOJ was to issue a statement of disagreement.

As noted in The Federalist:

[N]either the law in question nor the Supreme Court’s decision implicates federal gun laws in any way. There is no reason for the DOJ to weigh in on the matter or express any opinion whatsoever on the ruling. Only an utterly politicized Justice Department hoping to undermine the Supreme Court’s constitutional authority and sow the seeds of nullification would issue such a statement.

Is the Democrat DOJ undermining the authority of the Supreme Court?

And of course, Friday’s Supreme Court decision has caused completely unhinged reactions on the left, in spite of the fact that this decision actually honors “our Democracy.”

No less an individual than the infamous Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is now calling SCOTUS illegitimate and ordering her followers into the streets in protest. Mad Maxine Waters likewise declared “The hell with the Supreme Court—we will defy them.”

Wait . . . is that not a threat to our Democracy? Kinda insurrectiony? Undermining the Supreme Court again? Will Chuck Schumer be investigated for his promise that Kavanaugh would “pay the price” for overturning Roe v. Wade? Did he incite the would-be assassin?

And what about the original leaker of the SCOTUS decision? Certainly that undermined the Supreme Court, yet for some reason the leaker cannot be found. Is the DOJ gonna get to that, soon? Or should we assume that no longer matters?

Or how about this invasion of the Capitol in Madison, Wisconsin?

Is this insurrection? Is this a coup? Do we need a committee?

What about this? Doesn’t this sound kinda . . . insurrectiony?

These are, of course, only a select few of the examples we could call forth that demonstrate that the view of the Democratic Party is “Insurrection for me, but not for thee.”

Nancy would do well to keep her party in line because with every outburst they keep proving the double-standard.

The Dems will carry on with their show trial anyway because they have media allies who will never point out the obvious hypocrisy of the Democrats when it comes to honoring our institutions. But the more Democrats behave in “insurrectiony” ways, the more they destroy their own Narrative.

It doesn’t matter. They want to provoke a civil war. If you look at their actions through that lens, it all makes perfect sense.

I’ve come to this conclusion as well.  The fact that the Left is already charging that the Republicans are trying to steal the 2022 elections shows that they themselves are expecting an argument about the election results.  That and the fortified Capitol building, and the beginning of enforcing (the equivalent of) red flag laws on sitting Republican congressmen, and their push to federalize ultimate control of States’ elections sure looks like they have given up the pretense of any honest elections or even the show of reasonable election results.

I think this is pretty funny.

Anyone liking the Jan 6 hearings had to blind himself to what the Democrats are doing now. They are involved in public calls to ignore the Supreme Court. They are calling for insurrection.

But hey, they can be them. Reason is beyond them. No matter what the Democrats do, even murder of a Justice, they will follow the hearings as the gospel.

Certainly anyone who likes the J6 trial is either ignorant of the law or scoffs at the law.

Has there been any discussion of the police crowd control procedures or the failure to request national guard presence?  Has there been any consideration of ways to prevent a similar occurrence in the future?   Any proper After-Action Review / Hot Wash?

That is what Jim Banks was going to do, but Pelosi had him removed from the committee.

Jim Banks didn’t call the January 6th investigation a Stalinist show trial. He called it a witch hunt. I do so hope that doesn’t hurt Jonah’s feelings too.

Speaking of Dems stepping all over their message . . .

I agree with AOC. We need to investigate the officers and others on the inside that helped the “insurrectionists.”

Who is Ray Epps and what was he doing? There were others too who could have been government agency employees seeking to instigate violence in order to entrap and embarrass the protesters and President Trump. #FalseFlag

AOC can sure dish it out (Kavanaugh), but she can’t take it.

Nancy Pelosi:  “I just don’t know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country” … (with the explicit meaning that she is disappointed in that and is inciting public uprisings as the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.

    Sad.
