A Syrian pro-government newspaper says Syria has suspended all flights to and from Damascus International Airport after an Israeli airstrike hit an area close to the facility.
The south runway was heavily damaged last year in a previous airstrike and still is out of service. The Friday airstrike hit three Iranian Militia arms depots located at or bordering the Damascus Airport. The north runway was damaged in Friday’s attack as well as the observation tower.
The Israeli Defense Forces have not commented on the strikes. The IDF, unlike some officials in the United States who cannot wait to get in front of a camera rarely comment on military actions, nor do they make idle threats.Published in
