‘What is a Woman?’: A Review

The Daily Wire released Matt Walsh’s documentary about the transgender movement afflicting American society to subscribers on Tuesday night, the start of Pride month. They admitted in their Daily Wire Backstage discussion on the subject that it was an exercise in trolling. I watched it that night and have since cast it to the living room TV for Elder and Mr. C to watch with me.

It’s no doubt an overused phrase, but this may be the most important (entertaining, moving, hilarious, . . .) documentary you see this year. Or at least until Candace Owens’ movie on George Floyd and the rise of BLM comes out later in the month.

I won’t be giving too much away when I tell you, Scott Newgent, founder of TReVoices, and himself a trans man, is the hero of the movie. He reveals in personal and painful terms just how transition surgeries affected him. He’s passionately opposed to the mutilation of children going on in this country, both physical and chemical. And the movie pulls no punches. You’ll get to meet the Mengele of transition surgery, too, among the other wicked purveyors of “affirming” medical and psychological malpractice.

What is a Woman? is only available to subscribers to The Daily Wire. You’ll need either the Insider membership at $12/month or All Access at $20/month to watch it. It’s worth every penny.

One of the tactics of communists is to make claims that are outrageously untrue just to bog the opposition down in attempts to disprove their lunacy. Communists don’t care about this issue except to stop us from talking about things that matter.

It matters to kids being mutilated and their families. Matt does a phone interview with a dad in Canada who went to jail for not using his daughter’s preferred pronoun and lost his battle to keep Children’s Hospital from treating her with puberty blockers. It matters.

I enjoyed it, some of the travelling to various locations and trolling were a bit ham-handed but those longer form interviews with those “Therapists and Doctors” – those people are truly disturbed, evil and should be prosecuted for bodily and emotional harm.

Serious question–what do you mean by “ham-handed”. Admittedly, I’m not the most creative guy, but nothing about the traveling/trolling stood out negatively to me. Just curious what you saw. Thanks.

By ham-handed, I meant that travel was not needed – you’d find that same answer at one’s nearest university or college or ‘Pride’ parade. Do you really think he believed he needed to travel to look for that answer?

They just locked up a lawyer named Ken Klukowski as a paid contributor. The guy is just the best on any topic. All of their regular contributors, paid or not are excellent. When they pay them, they frequently don’t release the audio outside of Serius XM. He writes articles I think.

Oh no. This issue has many uses. Just start with weakening parental control over what can be done to children.

I think the traveling-for-the-answer routine serves two purposes (1) It’s funny. So, helps keep things light. (2) Suggests to us the possibility that what’s going on here might be an illness brought on by affluence and excessive ease, a symptom of decadence.

Funny you should bring up the communists.  I don’t know what veracity to put on this, but Emily Jashinsky, on one of her recent Federalist Radio Hour episodes brought up TikTok as a forum for where much of the trans crowd (or “community” if you wish) hangs out online.

TikTok is owned by the Chinese.

    🤣🤣🤣🤣

We need more people with the courage to say things like that.
The video clip makes me think optimistically—-gives me reason to hope—- that, ten or fifteen years from now, people will look back in astonishment at how easy it was for credentialed, bullying frauds in high places among us to cow us into submitting to enabling the increasing influence of this absurd lie by coercing us into participating in absurd behavior based on it.

Recently I was sternly told by…I’ll call her Myrtle. It’s not her actual name, but it seems to reveal while concealing her. She’s a friend, but sometimes I really can’t stand her…Anyway, I was told by Myrtle  to stop referring to the nineteen-year-old “trans man” I had met the day before as “she”. The “trans man” was the daughter of Myrtle’s  forty-something-year-old, divorced nephew’s current girlfriend. Myrtle doesn’t know her well at all.

I was talking to Myrtle, and only Myrtle, privately, when I referred to the young woman calling herself a man as “she”. What I said was something like: “She wants to be a child psychologist.” when Myrtle said she couldn’t remember what this young woman calling herself a man had said she was going to study in college during our conversation with her the day before.

Have we all lost our minds ?

By the way, is it just my experience of many interactions with Myrtle prior to this recent trip with her, or is anyone else suspecting that the people practically clicking their heels in their eagerness to fall in line with this trans enablement are either, like Myrtle, a peculiar mixture of timid and controlling or are very dependent for income and/or recommendations on the people promoting it or are both ?

Neat business model; offer content to paid subscribers. I wonder if it will catch on.

Works if you can get it into a subscription model with a relatively small daily/weekly/monthly/yearly cost.

At this point I am going to need a subscription to manage all my subscriptions.

It’s funny because Ricochet’s model is that WE get to provide stuff by paying a subscription. Ricochet doesn’t really provide any original content to subscribers.

I don’t think so.  I came here because of the podcasts.  Though to think on it I mostly listen to DW podcasts now.

I was hoping there would be a post. I watched it last night, and was very impressed. Will probably be thinking about it for several days.

The “physician”, Dr. Forcier, with the blue hair was a clown, and I can’t help but wonder if she is actually a doctor. She had a strong streak of the New Age about her. It was great to see interviews with oppositional doctors etc. People need to see their intelligence and articulateness, and know that this madness hasn’t affected them all, or even most.

I took some solace in the fact that Newgent said the surgery is around $70,000.

The local armed forces recruiting center guys tell me that some are signing up with the expectation that the military will pay for their reassignment surgeries.

I was talking to a college administrator the other day.  She mentioned one of the new perks was some sort of student insurance that covers it.

also have a friend that fosters kids and is getting out of it.  A few years ago there were no trans in the system.  The state required everybody, workers and parents to get trained in this gender stuff.  He says the insurance the kids get will pay for it and that a couple of the social workers have become trans.  Sounds like the state insurance covers it so we are going to see a bunch of trans government workers and a bunch of foster kids trans.

Sadly the smart thing to do once CPS gets their hooks into your child is surrender them to foster care and move on with your life.  Those that don’t are going to destroy their lives in a losing battle.

What a lot of people are getting out of the trans craze is money. Scott Newgent made that clear. Then too, a lot of people Mike Walsh interviewed have an obvious career investment in continuing this insanity. If the trans thing  collapsed they’d be as discredited as the girls in 1692 were by 1693 or 1694. And , let’s face it, the trans promoters—-like the girls in Salem who had to face the families of the people who were hanged—-might be something more than discredited as people continue living with the consequences of operations and chemical poisoning, or continue dying by the suicides their “gender affirming” surgeries and treatments were supposed to prevent.

Then too, the people pushing the trans craze gain greater social control for a certain class by weakening the protective authority of parents. You’re uncomfortable preteen wants to castrate himself, and his mother or stepmother is on board with it ? Soon you, his dad, won’t be able to prevent it. You’re daughter gets raped in the girl’s bathroom ? It didn’t happen. And you’ll find yourself arrested if you keep insisting that it did. Your 18 year old daughter wants to cut off her breasts ? You can’t insist she be forced to take time to consider.

Another way the people pushing the trans craze gain greater social control is through mandatory changes in language. Everyone here has already thought about what it does to people to submit to affirming the lie of another person’s preferred pronouns when those pronouns are a lie.

There’s also the way the pronoun business, and other language changes, make it harder for people to understand each other. The ensuing confusion can be exploited by those out to control them. The pronoun business also helps make young people more resistant to reading things written in the supposedly barbaric past when no one understood sex was unrelated to gender. The lack of exposure to things written in the past leaves young people more ignorant about the experiences and ideas of people who came before them. As Orwell depicted in 1984, that ignorance can be exploited by those out to control them.

Yes, my wife just got through working for the feds for 3 years.  From what I can see at the lower level much of it is a make work program.  There is a points system for getting hired / promoted.  The more disabilities, races, ethic, experiences you have the better your chances and perks.  Even IBS gets you points, partial blindness is points, races / ethics are points, genders are points, etc.  I can’t say people are going tran for the bennies.  It may be more a point of if you are willing to play the intersection game the federal government is the place it works for you.

I just never thought of your rank and file government workers as benefitting by being trans.

Wow. I didn’t know they had such a generous point system.  I have a bad hip, a hairy lip, a freudian slip, and a funny looking great toe.  What are my odds of getting a government job?  :)
