‘No Dumb Questions’ with Charles C.W. Cooke

No Dumb Questions is back! If you missed him last week on the Ricochet Flagship –and we do recommend you correct that!–make sure you catch the next webcast with National Review‘s Charles C.W. Cooke. Bring your best questions for what should be a very important conversation. Our own Rob Long and/or Scott Immergut will moderate this event on Thursday (tomorrow), June 2, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.

Sitting down with a Second Amendment expert, we’ll discuss the latest news surrounding the Uvalde shooting, the police response, and what to do about gun control moving forward. And if you’ve got something else in mind, we’ll talk about that too!

Remember: No Dumb Questions is a Ricochet members-only webcast. As much as we’re hoping to hear your Qs for Charlie, we have to insist you become a member first. Get started at . Once signed up, you can get your link for the event here.

Your Ricochet membership helps keep our community going; and this will be only one of many members-only functions you can be a part of. Take advantage of our two-week free trial and give Ricochet a shot.

We hope to see you Thursday!

I hope he gets a lot of pushback on his credulity regarding “red flag” laws.

It was a cordial event, but he did elaborate some on his brief thoughts about this from last week. He’s definitely aware of how laws like that could be abused, and is very serious about resisting anything that would make that possible.

We should post it sometime later this week. You should check it out!

The most effective way to keep the laws from being abused is to not have them.  Nothing else will really do the job for us, because people are always involved, people with agendas, etc.  To repeat an aphorism of mine, “No great hand comes down from the sky and forces people to do the right thing.”  Another expression might also be useful:  lead us not into temptation.
