The Clownish Partisanship of CNN

A left-wing group published the addresses of the conservative members of the Supreme Court and also John Roberts, encouraging their comrades, perhaps, to engage in some “mostly peaceful protesting.” Through its official spokesperson and soon-to-be objective MSNBC journalist, the Brandon presidency has made it clear they have no problem with people intimidating Federal judges. (“But muh Rule of Law!”)

So, what is the clown college CNN network worried about? “Potential right-wing violence.”

CNN: Law enforcement bracing for violence from “far right” following Alito opinion. “They’re closely monitoring social media chatter that suggests there’s a potential for violence against abortion clinic providers, abortion clinic staff, members of the Judiciary”

Why would the ‘far right’ (which, in journalism, means anyone right of Tulsi Gabbard and also probably Tulsi Gabbard) be committing violence after getting a SCOTUS ruling they agree with? It’s a common-sense question that has occurred to none of the professional journalists at the Clownworld News Network.

It seems like the Deep State and their Corporate Media are forever looking out for violence from the “far right” and never seeing it when it comes from the far left (with the approval of the ruling party).

I am pretty sure most on the Right are actually quietly keeping their heads down.

I don’t get it either, what possible reason would people on the right have for being mad about a Court possibly giving them what they have wanted for nearly 50 years.

The only way any of this could possibly make sense, would be people from the “right” sick of the Lefts protest culture and attacking the protestors who are harrasing the Supreme Court Justices. I don’t see it happening but this is the only thing I can come up with that is not insane.

I shouldn’t be surprised anymore.  I shouldn’t be but I still am.   He has never once done anything but fan the flames his entire time in office, starting from Jan 6th and onwards.  He has never ONCE failed to disappoint or alarm.  It is time for us to start shouting angrily HOW DARE HE?

Not cool.  Don’t you know you’re supposed to accept the corporate media’s assertions without question? The entire system falls apart when you go applying logic and reason to the things the news monkeys say.

Obviously those many thousands of thousands of right-to-lifers who left the National Mall cleaner than they found it every year are about to lose their minds now that (some) victory is at hand. Or maybe not.

This is the same city that boarded up businesses days before election day in anticipation of riots if one side didn’t get its way. This in a city with something over 80% registered Democrat voters. After Biden stole the election, riots didn’t happen and the boards came down.

Pretext for arresting more right wing conservatives for any reason at all, locking them away in the DC Gulag, and spending the next year trying (and failing) to build a case, hoping that they’ll succeed in driving the prisoners to confess to anything.

Brandon Straka got the dreaded knock on the door in the the night from the party’s enforcers.  Rounded up and locked in jail. Eventually sentenced to three months home detention, three years’ probation and a $5,000 fine for misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Also, the Government demanded to monitor his social media.

Democrats who violently disrupt the proceedings of the senate get fifty dollar fines.

Perhaps they are reasoning thusly; “If MAGA people will commit [fill in your own verb] over what they think is a thrown election, imagine what they’ll do when Roe v Wade is reinstated once we terrify the SCOTI into submission.”

Good. Pro-abortion people are of the opinion that there is simply no argument to be made against abortion. They need to hear otherwise from people they know.

Speaking of men who can’t let it go, I note that McCarthy needs several histrionic paragraphs rehashing the January 6th narrative (“a profound betrayal of the president’s core duty to defend the Constitution!” “an uprising at the seat of government!” “the Big Lie!”)  before then saying, “but what Biden is doing is also not okay.”

It’s seemingly impossible for NeverTrump to simply denounce Biden; they always have to “contextualize” it by restating their grievances against Trump. Also, they pretend that they turned on Trump because of the events of January 6th. But the truth is, they hated him long before then.

So let’s look back over [pick your time frame: ten years? twenty? fifty?].

Let’s count the time the “far right” has committed large-scale violence (and I mean the “right” is actually committing the violence; violence by the left because it is triggered by the presence of far right people doesn’t count, so most of the “Proud Boys” events don’t count): Uh . . . Um . . . maybe a couple of isolated bombings of abortion clinics or attacks on abortion doctors thirty or so years ago? Some claim the Oklahoma City truck bomb (1995) was by members of the “far right,” though others dispute the perpetrators’ politics.

Let’s count the times the “left” has committed large-scale political violence: Dozens of cities in 2020 after death of George Floyd; Several cities in 2015 after death of Michael Brown; Several world trade conferences since 1999 (Seattle); Attempted assassination of Republican lawmakers during softball practice; How many Republican electoral candidates had offices vandalized during the 2016, 2018, and 2020 elections? Secondary criteria: Democrat politicians encouraging violent behavior (Maxine Waters, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush); Tertiary criteria: irrational shrieking Democrat politicians responding to possible Supreme Court decision (Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Chuck Schumer).

Simple probability based on actual history (I know, past performance is no guarantee of the future, but it is a pretty good gauge of probabilities) suggests that violence by the “far right” is not your most likely problem. (I often remember the scene in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in which the other children are sure Lucy has fabricated her story about visiting Narnia, and the Professor asks the other children if Lucy has a history of fabricating stories, to which they acknowledge “no,” so the Professor suggests they should entertain the possibility that Lucy is has not fabricated this story about a visit to Narnia.)

Ah, but corporate media has no interest in facts or history. CNN’s purpose is to promote a specific narrative. “Violent right-wing white nationalist domestic terrorists aligned with the Republican party are our country’s most dangerous threat.” Whereas those folks who burned and looted parts of Portland, Kenosha, Chicago, and Baltimore were “Social activists of no particular political alignment (wink) engaged in mostly peaceful protest.”

“Social Activism.” It sounds so nice, doesn’t it? It reminds you of Social Studies; the easiest class in  all of middle school. The left manipulates language so readily; whereas the right is bound to this boomer notion that words should accurately depict the thing they describe; a notion as obsolete as cursive writing.
