Doxxing Is Dirty Pool

I’m safe in assuming most here know of the so-called “journalist,” last name Taylor, who had a meltdown when someone doxxed her. She said she had to close her accounts and had thoughts of suicide.

So what does she do? In the Washington Post, she is doxxing the person behind the popular “LibsofTikTok” Twitter account. This person just reposts liberals’ social media posts on TikTok. Taylor has already doxxed family members of this person and gone to their homes.

Taylor “suffered” so much when she was doxxed, now she is doing it to others. That’s sick and disgusting.

WARNING:  YELLING IN PROGRESS—The execrable Taylor Lorenz and the rag-birds-don’t-want-as-cage-liner W.Post published the women’s name and address!  May fleas infest them both, permanently!

Here’s an article for those wondering: https://thepostmillennial.com/the-washington-post-plans-to-dox-libs-of-tik-tok-in-new-hit-piece-by-taylor-lorenz

Let me just say that anything Twitter seems an awful lot like inside baseball to me.  Here is a quote from Pew: ”22% of U.S. adults say they use the platform. But the Twitter conversation about national politicsamong U.S. adult users is driven by a small number of prolific political tweeters. These users make up just 6% of all U.S. adults with public accounts on the site, but they account for 73% of tweets from American adults that mention national politics.”

That means about one percent of American adults create 73 percent of tweets.  I truly don’t get why what happens on Twitter is newsworthy.

As far as Taylor Lorenz goes, there’s no surprise that a leftie millennial journalism school graduate (as distinct from journalist) doesn’t understand the hypocrisy.

At what point does a journalist become a public figure?

And how many times do journalists show up at people’s houses and start filming?

Yeah, I don’t know her, either, and don’t care about the next two, either. “Doxxing” is for people who CBA “documenting and exposing.”

A strange aspect of this is all LibsofTikTok does is repost videos that are already being posted on TikTok. She’s holding a mirror up to them and they don’t like it.

There is no distinction. Since WW2 a journalist is someone who is ‘ethically’ required to advance the progressive narrative. Prior to that time a journalist was someone who was paid to advance their employer’s narrative. ‘Truth’ or ‘fairness’ has never been the point.

Dang political Tweeters ruined Twitter. I can remember when it was all about being fun and funny, and stopping in there was a delight. Wish somebody could put that genie back in the bottle and just let Twitter be silly again.

Sorry—had her first name as her last name. I have nieces and nephews who use TikTok,  seen references online, never been there. Spelled doxxing wrong in title, means making private info public; real name, address , phone# public.

Even if the info is already public or can easily be found online (Google yourself sometime), doxxing is bad because it implies the person doxxed should have negative action taken against him . . .

Counter-doxxing makes perfect sense.  It is the best way to deter doxxing.   That said, I would need to look into what LibsofTikTok actually disclosed.  I’m honestly not sure.

Normally, doxxing is identifying someone who is under a pseudonym or is anonymous, particularly when more details are disclosed like their address, employer, etc.   For example:  OmegaPaladin is really Stephen Franklin of B5 Industries and his address is 15 E Roosevelt Rd. Chicago IL 60606    It’s serious business, and doing it on Ricochet is a great way to get the boot.

This person had a public byline under their own name.  How, exactly, were they doxxed?

I haven’t cared to learn about Taylor. What little I know if from other people I read talking about her. What I’ve gathered is that her reporter’s beat is online culture. She supposedly pretends to be in her twenties but is closer to 35 or 40.

TikTok is a Chinese app that lets you post short video clips. I stay away from it for the concerns about China gathering data. Most, if not all, the dancing nurses videos during the Greatest Pandemic To Ever Strike the Earth were from TikTok.

LibsofTikTok finds the craziest liberals posting insane screeds on TikTok, repackages it, and posts it on Twitter under her account. Twitter has suspended her a few times and some, to include Taylor, are trying to get her personal information out there so harm can come to her or get her fired.

She cried when it happened to her and then went and did it to someone else. But before you call her a hypocrite, remember that she did explain that she only does it to bad people so . . .

Also, Libs of TikTok just replays videos that other people willing posted online. The people who made those videos wanted them to be seen. If the videos are embarrassing, don’t blame Libs of TikTok.

Doxxing is bad enough but these things tend to escalate.  Being canceled is part of it where activist go to your boss / clients / customers and get you fired.  They also like to do this with your spouse and children.

Then there is swatting.  That is when they turn you into the police as doing something illegal and they show up at your place with a SWAT team.  My understanding is there have been some deaths with this one.

Tim Pool.  A podcaster.  Says he has been swatted 7 times since January.  They have done both his business and his home.
